NFL  > New York Giants  > Eages to Beat Giants in Trade For Q Boldin????
March 18, 2009, 01:58 PM
Peter King of SI wrote that the Eagles might be in the hunt for Q as well as the Giants this year with the amount of picks they have (21, 28, 45) and the Giants at 29, 45 & 60) and may be in a better position to make a move on Boldin.

Now the compensatory picks still have not been assigned, but it would be reasonable to assume that the Eagles will still be in a better position to make a deal than the Giants, who may have to move up in the draft to get the WR they want, but the question is do they have the picks to do so?

The Manning deal took Rivers (essentially the number 4 pick) plus that year's 3rd rounder, the next year's 1st and 5th round picks to complete so assuming the Eagles get Boldin, how far will the Giants really be able to move up without pawning up Osi, Kiwi or Justin Tuck in a trade as additional bait so to speak, seeing that next year's first rounder will likely be a low second rounder as well?
