Out of the remaining Free Agents who would you most likely want to see the Packers get?

On Draft Day who do you want the Packers to select and why?

WILDCARD: If the Packers could trade a player on their team for somebody(NEEDS TO BE A FAIR TRADE FOR BOTH SIDES, AND NOT OUTRAGEOUS), who would it be?

What do we get if we trade away TT?

There are no good FA left remaining. We should have picked up a number of people from the group of Chris Canty/Igor Olshansky, Kevin Burnett, and Marques Douglas. Had they all compete for jobs , whoever comes out of the comp as the loser either backs up or is traded.

Draft Day we select B.J. Raji if he falls to us, if not a pash rusher (I would prefer Orakpo but he probably wont be there) like Everette Brown. Second round take Alphonso Smith if he falls to us, if not then an OT or another pass rusher like Larry English or a do it all guy like Connor Barwin. Third round take DT like Jarron Gilbert (who will be a 5 technique DE for us) and for our second 3rd rounder take either a Safety like Patrick Chung or best available.

If I could trade Chillar and Poppinga plus a high draft choice (2nd round) for someone like Julius Peppers I would. Would also consider a trade of 1 draft pick and one of the players mentioned above for Tony Gonzalez.

I will gladly trade McCarthy for a bag of footballs. Actually, I would trade him and the footballs for a blade of grass.

We would not sign any FAs until after the draft, and then i would only look at Vonnie holiday and Kevin carter whichever is cheaper......

as for a trade i would like to get rid of Wells and move spitz to center.... I think Wells would be great fit for KC and then thrown in a 4th rounder for Tony G.

Tony Gonzalez is too old to spend a first rounder on. I would definitely use it for Peppers and one or both of the players that you mentioned. I don't have alot of faith in TT in the first round. Different story in late rounds though.

true that. Wouldnt mind aquiring Gonzalez for a 4th rounder and then trading down with the 1st overrall pick. Heck, even throw in a 5th rounder for Gonzalez

I agree Gonzalez would be a great pick up and while he is old he probably still has a good 2 or 3 years left in him and with his work ethic is still in better shape then almost anyone. I would trade R. Martin since we are so deep at WR and a 3rd round pick to get him. Then to get Peppers I would deal Chillar, our 2nd round pick and a 4th round pick in next years draft.

By adding Gonzalez this will give us the ability to run 2 TE sets which were really successful for us in the past. Peppers well you know what you get with Peppers and at this point with Panthers so strapped for cap space they will take the best deal they can get at this point. Sucks to lose R. Martin but with us having Driver, Jennings, Nelson, and Jones already Martin wont get to see the field much with the Packers.

With the 1st round pick I would probably trade down in the draft, sure there is a team or 2 that would like to move up to take one of the top QBs in the draft and would be willing to package their 1st and 3rd round pick....if not a 2nd if they are desperate for QB.

I also would like to see Packers bring in Jennings who was just cut by the 49ers. Yes he was injury prone but could be a good insurance policey as the back up to either Clifton or Tauscher if he comes back. Also would like to bring in R. Williams at safty because he is a good hard hitting safty that will add some pop to the defense.

Agree with everything except this. We have Bigby already and Bigby is a hard-hitter and can actually cover people, something R.Williams cant do. Jennings is old and gets hurt. Tauscher is both, but the better player, so i would rather have Tauscher. We still should have signed Mike Goff to play Guard for us and then moved Colledge to the Tackle spot. Goff has played in 106 straight games. But he signed wit hthe Chiefs so thats not a possibilty. Also, the Packers should trade their 1st round pick considering their are reports now that the Packers are very interested in Andre Smith. :(

Julius Peppers is kind of over rated and the packers should not go after him. He's not consistent enough and the panthers will want way too much to get him

When it comes to giving up picks I look it at like this. If Peppers was in this years draft, where would he be drafted. First Round? Yes!! Top 5? Yes!! He's a franchise caliber player and Carolina knows it. The man is a beast and you have to account for him on every play. Besides he's played in Caper's system before. No lag for learning curve.

April 2, 2009  03:06 AM ET

why don't you say forget Peppers since the Chiefs resigned him, and make a run at Larry Johnson, granted he's kinda old, but you can get a least a couple good years out of him. He's gotta do better than Grant, at least play a whole season

April 2, 2009  03:06 AM ET

sorry, meant to say Gonzalez

April 2, 2009  03:10 PM ET

Beause LJ SUCKS!

April 2, 2009  10:49 PM ET

LJ is the TO of running backs. Plus Grant is a good running back.

April 5, 2009  04:23 AM ET

yeah, considering that Rodgers had as many rushing TD's as Grant had last year, real good.

April 6, 2009  02:53 PM ET

Grants better than LJ

April 7, 2009  11:25 PM ET

Jason Taylor. Do whatever it takes to get him. And there is now way we get peppers. Jennings is another good option

April 9, 2009  10:29 PM ET

Price tag will be too big for Taylor. Why waste the cap space on a player, WHO I LIKE but probably won't be worth the money you pay him?
