He WAS the one who ran his mouth before the Giants game then absolutely choked DURING the game. We haven't seen a lot of production from him since because Romo learned real quick not to count on him. If Crayton interprets this as things being "Romo and Witten freindly" then he hasn't really learned anything at all.
I hope Crayton has a decent year in 2009. That way we can package him with Barber and trade for draft picks, then move up to take Bradford or McCoy. These guys would represent the future. Crayton does not.
Stoney. You would rather run through a muslim temple with a porkchop jacket on than take a swing at Crayton.I understand your anger but there are alot of Cowboys who are gonna have to put up or shutup this season.
Patrick "Me and TO Matin" Crayton is a piece of crap. Everyone wants to say that TO is a cancer and this and that. I think thats all true, but I aint never seen such a weak minded group of followers like the Cowboys had. Crayton was the loudest of the cheerleaders and still is. This guy will be the 3rd receiver this year so you know he will do or say something before its all said and done. He has had one half a season of productivity. As much as I hate him, he aint the only one we need to get on. Terrence Newman would be the second. Bradie James would be 3rd. Roy Williams would be 4th. Terrence Newman gets all this credit for being a shutdown corner. I aint never seen him shutdown anything but his body. He injured every week with something. He is as overhyped as anyone and really needs to focus on learning how to cover WRs and stop trying to cover his own butt when he says things that get him involved in something that had nothing to do wit him. Bradie James.....really have no big problem with him. He is productive. Becoming more and more the team leader on defense even though Ware gets all the headlines. But like others, when he was asked about the conflict in the locker room, he poured more gas on the fire. He should have stepped up as one of the leaders and said what he needed to say to bring the team closer. I know he is still learning on the job with no real veteran to teach him how to be the leader they need but he is going to have to grow up fast.
Memo to Mr. Roy Williams....when you come to a team midway through the season it should be common sense that you really just need to play football and keep your mouth shut. To come in and immediately jump on TO's bandwagon because you had some crazy idea that in a half season you would catch 60 balls is ridiculous. You showed alot of disrespect to a team that just gave away a 1st and 3rd round pick for you. This kills me even more knowing that had we kept that pick we could be looking at having Michael Crabtree on our team this year and we would have had cap room to go after Boldin or Peppers. Lets just say that you catching 60 balls aint gonna cut it this time around. You owe big.
Jerry Jones I HATE YOU!!.....i know thats off topic but i felt compelled to say it.
Why in the world are we even discussing Patrick Crayton?
He is a solid complimentary wide out and the last I looked, probably half the league talks crap.
Jeesh, you guys are sure some nit-picky primadonnas when it comes to breaking down losses.
And this last poster above? Taking shots at Roy Williams? The guy comes in, and was slightly injured and was lucky to see maybe 2 passes or 3 passes a game come his direction and all he did was support the team.
Get a life.
You guys always have to find something to cry about...damn babies on this site.

The Cowboys have a hell of a lot more problems than Patrick Crayton...
I am a die hard Cowboys fan, and I could not agree more.
But K-Will is right, Patrick is the least of their problems.
Jeff....if you want to call going to the coach with 2 other players complaining that the QB and TE and the Offensive Coordinator have some super secret plot to make sure that the TE gets all the balls thrown his way supporting your team then something is seriously wrong with you. Now you are right, he didnt receive many chances to catch balls. If that was his argument when he went to complain then I would have no problem with it. Thats just not the case and everybody knows it. He should not have been a part of that crusade 5 games into his tenure with the Cowboys.....period.
As far as anyone crying about losses or being a primadonna...If i read correctly, no one is blaming a loss on Patrick Crayton or anyone else. Stick to the topic if your going to attempt to blast people for what they saying. Just makes you look stupid in the long run.
1st off, were you in that meeting? - didnt think so.
2ndly, that meeting was called by Garrett and he ASKED all of them to join...I do not recall one time ANY media outlet reporting that Roy Williams or Patrick Crayton were the instigators in that meeting being called.
Roy Williams nor Patrick Crayton is to blame.
Then you go off and lay even more blame on Terrence Newman and Bradie James? Are you high? Newman shut down Moss last season in that second game they played and pretty much is on an island almost EVERY game. Bradie James had one of his best seasons ever and you are taking shots at them?
And then you tell me to stay on topic?
You guys are so mis-informed it is silly....and now I know why people hate Cowboys fans...it is because most of you have no clue what you are even talking about.

Jesus dont get me started on Bradie James, great run stopper, but in coverage maybe the worst in the league.
Question my football knowledge if you want but I've seen every Cowboys game for the past 24 years. So its safe to say I know the team fairly well. Are there worse LBs than Bradie James? Sure. But there are better LBs getting paid way less money around this league.
Remember last year or year before last when Kitna called out Bradie James to the press, said he was "horrible". Coming from the Lions that hurt. Just watch the Cowboys play and pay special attention to Bradie on passing plays, its obvious what I am talking about.
Jerry, do the right thing and CUT Crayton and while your at it, if theres more than one idiot that believes in Bradie James trade that P.O.S. too.
God Bless the Dallas Cowboys I'm out.

I can care less if you have seen every Cowboys game over the last 24 years...it is obvious that you need glasses of some sort...
Bradie James posted the 17th most tackles of ANY LB in the league last season.
Bradie James also posted 8 sacks last season....the MOST of any Inside LB in the NFL last season.
I will agree that Bradie James is not a coverage guy and that is why we had Kevin Burnett sub in on nickle packages.
Bradie is called on to stop the run and cover the middle...that does NOT require a guy to run a 4.30 40 yd dash fella.
Who gives a $#%$ if Kitna called him out a year ago...what player does NOT get called out here or there?
Then you talk about getting paid way less money and being better? Name someone then...love to see it!
James signed a 6yr deal with an 8mil bonus and an annual salary of approx 1.65...add that up and that is almost 18mil over 6yrs....for a guy who is playing that well at only 3 mil per season....that is a bargain...
Then you say cut Crayton....who in the hell do you expect to fill in his 50+ catches per season....you cut him and you are relying on an unknown player from the NCAA or Miles Austin or Sam Hurd...
It is more than obvious that your judgement of what to do with this team borders on complete stupidity.

You little baby jesus I read that whole thing and I pictured a little baby crying for his mommy's ****. 17th most tackles in the league, WOW, you must have been a fat kid if 17 is good enough for you. Did your mommy tell you it was okay to come in last??? The so called "leader" of the defense is 17th in tackles, wheeeew we are going to def win with him.
Who will fill in for him? How could I possibly know that? Stupid question.
You obviously dont follow the Cowboys all that much, Crayton is a D BAAAGGGGG loud mouth. Its gotta be hard on a team whose most vocal leader is a loser who cant come through in the clutch

That reminds me....I once went to a fight and a hockey game broke out.

17th in the league out of at least 120 starting Linebackers is NOT that bad....at this point, there are only 16 guys ahead of him that have more tackles and several of them are Outside Linebackers that do not play the middle.
Last is not 17th bonehead...rather than blog all day, how about picking up a book on math?
And, you still did not answer the question....why is that? Ohh, I know why....it is because you are an idiotic moron who doesn't know crap about the team.
I agree with you that Crayton has a loud mouth and yes, he has dropped the ball in big situations and that is why he is a #3 wideout at best BUT cutting him makes ZERO sense unless you are bringing in someone else to fill his shoes....and that is my argument.
Losers like you just think this is Fantasy Football and you can cut and sign anyone you like.
And, that is why you will remain a moron.
End of story.

Crayton is a guy whos got to step up this year. In 07, it looked like he was improving every year. In 08, he was rather quiet. Hes got to get back to being a solid 700 yard receiver. Hes gotta stop with the taunting. If we want to win 10 games, hes gotta get his 700 yards. Our line has to pass block better. My plan would be to become a running team. Felix Jones and Tashard Choice averaged 6 yards per carry combined last season. Barber has got to return to 07 form. Otherwise, let the two second year guys carry the ball. Barber had a paltry 3.7 per carry last year. Our defense better start earning their big contracts. These big contracts and free agency has taken some fun out of the game. Everyone wants a big contract but theres no looks of anquish on the sidelines anymore. The Big Three wouldn't have put up with this crap. Irvin would've been jacking up players.
