NFL  > San Francisco 49ers  > Can Druckenmiller's Cinderella run continue? Next up, Lawrence Phillips!!
April 20, 2009, 11:49 AM
All four top seeds in our April Badness draft bust tourney are through to the Elite Eight, but one surprising ex-quarterback is making a Cinderella run and might be a good fit for glass slippers.

Jim Irsay Region
#1 Ryan Leaf 89% def. #4 Brian Bosworth 11%
After a unanimous selection in the first round, Ryan Leaf finally got some votes against him. The Bos was only able to grab 11 percent of the vote and it remains to be seen if anyone can garner enough support against who many believe to be the overwhelming favorite in this tourney.

#3 Todd Marinovich 88% def. #7 Tim Worley 12%
Marinovich was thankful to not have to face Jeff George in the Sweet 16 after Worley's big upset. He cruised past the Steelers bust and earned a shot at Leaf in a big-time battle of SoCal quarterbacks. Marinovich undoubtedly received a boost from that viral piece in Esquire magazine feature this past week detailing his rise and fall from grace. Going to be an intense battle out west!!
