NFL  > Oakland Raiders  > Oakland vs New England snow bowl the tuck

It seems like it wasn't that long ago that Gruden and Gannon were playing for us. I sure miss those days of being a playoff team.

Art Modell- you must stop with this nonsense. Your revisions aside, the rule, as created by Walt Coleman and Mike Pereira that night, is completely illogical. As explained, once the QB pump fakes, as long as he does not secure the ball to his body, he cannot fumble. Brady's arm comes foward, he controls the ball with his left hand and at no point does he "tuck" or attempt to tuck the ball. Walt Coleman blew that call and the NFL gas spent the better part of 7 years trying to convince us that down is up.

Good thing for them it happened to the Raiders. The public is more willing to buy the lie when "the bad guys" are the ones getting screwed.

The tuck rule is completely illogical and subject to gross judgment call errors. If a QB's arm is moving forward (attempting to pass) when he is hit and the ball pops out that is always an incomplete pass. Why on earth should a QB need time to "tuck" the ball and what constitutes a tuck anyway? In Brady's case the ball clearly touched his left hand afterward and at that point any "attempted pass" is clearly finished. Based on that logic if a QB wanted to run around behind the LOS constantly faking passes without ever tucking then he could theoretically never fumble.

it was a B.S call and everyone knows it. If that goes the Raiders way, New England never becomes a dynasty, and instead the raiders are still a top tier team.....**** that game

All due respect for Guy Fieri, his Tex Wasabi???s resturant mixing original sushi and mouth-watering, slow-roasted BBQ is a good idea. I know he is a huge Raider fan.
