I for one am glad to have another capable CB, in case Brown wants to cause a problem in the locker room or on the field. they could trade him possibly for a 6th or 7th in next years draft,if anyone still wants him after his open disgust about not getting a new deal.
I can see Philly sending Sheldon to land a vet WR. Arizona needs a CB and with Ellis in the fold, we can give up Sheldon and a pick for Anquan or Braylon.
They aren't trading Sheldon.
They needed depth at CB.
Trade Sheldon and player/picks to carolina for PEPPERS!!!!
I would love to have Peppers, but he would break the bank. I also don't see the Philly front office risking a repeat of the Kearse mistake.
Maybe Philly should wait to see what Hobbs can do. It's the exccellence of the Eagles corners and safeties in the past years that have allowed man on man coverage thus allowing them to put 8 men up front. There is a reason why the eagle "D" has consistently ranked toward the top each year and the Eagle pass coverage over the last 8 years is one of those reasons. Why mess with a winning formula. Good pass coverage allows you to put pressure up front. The eagles have been doing that for years.

Well done.
Although just for **** and giggles, if there were a team in the NFL that could pull off a move for Peppers...you could make a case for the Eagles.
And I'm not just saying that to be a "homer"
As it stands, they are still comfortably under the cap after the contract re-structure for 5.
Before compensation picks which they will receive for Dawk, LJ, Considine, and Thomas (which cannot be traded)...They already have 11 draft picks in 2010.
The Eagles probably have the most bargaining power right now between $$ and draft picks.
I personally think Peppers would be too pricey, but he would take a lot of pressure off of Cole. That would be a great pass rush, but who would be the odd man out?
