You're a classy guy, Buckeye, and even though none of us Steeler fans can take direct credit for any of their success this past year (we buy tickets and jerseys and stuff, but no question that sure isn't the same as, say, coming up with game plans and executing them), we'll happily accept congratulations if you're offering them.

I hear what you're saying about this Cleveland Stinks guy. I'm not terribly familiar with his posts specifically, but I definitely know the type. In fact, I just responded to a Cleveland fan-atic who goes by gusto1691, he came on to a Pittsburgh post that had absolutely nothing to do with Cleveland (it was about good players that were picked at #32 in the first round) and launched into a rant against Pittsburgh that was very offensive in terms of the language and substance. I guess my point is, unfortunately, every team seems to have its share of extreme fans that exhibit very little objectivity and who mostly use offensive and insulting terms to communicate. I wish we could somehow ban all of these guys, the Pittsburgh crazies included, from these posts. But since that isn't possible, I guess about all I can do is confirm to you that most of us other Pittsburgh fans do not agree with the conduct and methods of the extreme fans on our side, I sure don't, and I'll start checking out some of his other posts to see what they look like.

as a man who bleeds black and Gold i love to needle u guys, but as of late there isnt a real challange in it. iv read the post u talk about and the guy is an idiot. hes our "Americas team Rocks" if u ever read his post most of the time u fall out ur chair laughing cause hes such an idiot. but from one die-hard fan to another we steeler nation will try and take care of him for ya cause he is a black eye to us. lol

There are a good number of lousy fans calling the Steelers their team... I agree with the OP, they are giving the good fans a bad ride. They are getting as bad if not worse, than Yankee fans! To the good fans, congrats and good luck. To the jerks, shut up...

Thanks guys! I am assuming the many people who read this post and didn't reply also agree (what's the phrase "silence is tacit agreement"?)

In any case, you're right... the idiots are everywhere. I apologize for any Brown's fan who steps over the line (that line being language and idiotic flaming). I appreciate the support though. It's nice to see that for the most part you guys have serious conversations... I am hoping we can get back to that someday.

I don't think you give yourself enough credit... Like Cleveland, your stadium gets pretty damn loud and you guys make it tough when teams come into your house. I cannot WAIT until we get back to the smash mouth football games like we had with you all in the 80's (as long as Elway doesn't come back into the league).

And I have since admitted I was out of line on a few comments. I made 2 comments on 2 posts that I probably shouldn't have, although the second was in response to another one, and like I said, I admitted I was out of line. Once I read Buckaye's post on here, I realized that I was being a bit like Art, Cleveland Stinks, w/e he's calling himself now, and I know how annoying he is and what a bad name he puts on steeler fans. I do not want to be the one responsible for giving Browns fans a bad name the way he does steeler fans. There will always be idiots like him, but I am not, nor do I want, to be one of them. So from here on out, I will voice opinions in a more respectable fashion.

I have been an avid Steeler's Fan since 1972. I have seen that guy's postings. He is an idiot. Just like Tim Lumber from Baltimore and a couple of others. I , like everyone else, have a tendency to do a "knee jerk" reaction when I see such trash and want to go off the deep end and lower myself to his standards. It is very hard not to do. But, I find that if I do let myself get caught up in that trash I really hate it later. Just know this, true sports fans have respect for other sports fans.

Fair enough, gusto, I respect the hell out of what you've said, for me it's all a non-issue at this point. Man, the NFL can sure get us all hopped up, eh? But I enjoy it like no other sport.

Appreciate your fanaticism, but really... Can we actually talk football??? Your BS jokes do nothing but soil the Pitt rep. Honestly, I agree with the post about missing the rivalry. I want the Browns to overcome their issues and play us as hard as they used to. F the Ravens. Browns vs Steelers. That is the original rivalry!

You may notice Lumber is no where to be found on Steeler message boards. He stuck to his word and disappeared after I challenged him- and embarrassed him. It works- sucks to have to resort to their childish behaviors- but it works. I'm not done playing with these idiots. You shouldn't quit either.
