The biggest problem facing the organization is the inability to sign top Free Agents due to the teams ongoing problem with Staph Infections.

LeCharles Bentley and Joe Jurevicius both saw their careers end due to post surgical staph infections. Kellen Winslow just battled staph last year and it kept him out longer than he should have been.

I find it hard to believe that the staph problem is not having a direct effect on things. Possibly the reason Pioli turned the GM's job down and why Mike Shanahan said he was not interested.

If you were an agent would you not advise your Free Agent clients to stay away until the staph epidemic is resolved?
