Furrey's off the chain. Great pick up for the Browns, a good consistent receiver who's not afraid to go over the middle. Should take up the slack left by Winslow.

That's good to hear. He's also a local product from Galion, Ohio. The fans love hometown players. Thanks for the insight; a lot of fans won't comment to someone rooting for another team. Hope y'all have a better season this year.
I liked the guy a lot, wish the Lions would have kept him. He's a class act
Age and lack of speed will be a concern. Other than that he has mad heart.

His biggest problem that seems to have crept into his game over the years...he has lost his ability to seperate from coverage. Don't get me wrong. I loved him and he has a big heart, but when the defenders are over your shoulder on most plays, it gets tougher to hold onto the ball. That being said...I still think the Lion's should have kept him as a slot/ #3 receiver.
He is a likeable guy that is no better than a third reciever, if that... i like the guy who had an oustanding year, but the past couple years have been bad, good luck with him i'm actually hopin he turns it around with you guys
Thanks for the feedback. Seems like you all agree that he is a class act with a lot of heart. I hope those sentiments rub off here in Cleveland. We need a heavy dose of heart and commitment to push our young receivers.
Furrey was a solid #3 receiver, not a break away guy, but was never afraid of hitting the 5 to 7 yard dangerous routes over the middle. He was also fairly tough for his size and when the ball was delivered to his breadbox his hands were like a steel trap, however did not have great hands when it came to reaching for a less than perfectly thrown ball. His best trait is that he is a an efficient player and he ran his routes crisply, meaning he wasn't lazy. Overall I'd give him a B- among overall receivers but a B+ for similar receivers (#3 and #4 receivers, which I imagine that will be his role in Cleveland). I guess to sum it up: he is the type of receiver that can get you a few yards when the other team is double covering your star receivers but he can also step up and give you a big game every once and a while.
