I hate the bcs. It's a total crap shoot. It deterioates the game. Playoffs pit the best against the best. You have to be luckier than the team your playing and you have to be better than the team your playing. BCS says you were good all season so we reward you with one oppurtunity. I say screw that. No reward for consistency. Because we the fans deserve to see better post seasons than the one we have now. Not the mediocre bowl games that we have. We have the Gaylord Music City bowl in Nashville and I hope and pray the day bowls like that are put to rest. I wanna have the atmosphere of the NCAA hoops. The upsets. The great games. The Iconic games. Who remembers the MPC Computers Bowl? FYI it was Miami over Nevada 21-20. Really does a 5 loss team deserve to get a chance to win a bowl game? I don't think so.

Sure, the teams with 5 losses deserve to play in a bowl game. Let's remember these are young men, most of which will never play beyond the college level, and it gives smaller schools a chance to show shome pride after the regular season. That being said, D-1 still needs a playoff for the teams who perform well thoughout the year. I am in total agreement of a playoff system in which the major bowls would be the playoff sites.

yeah, I forget these guys aren't pros. I think they could improve the bowls, it seems now that its commercialized to the point of sickness. They need to make it more about the game and less about the sponser of the bowl games.

Yeah, it gets rediculous when you see the galleryfurnituresponsoredbyJeepwiththehelpofMcdonaldswelovetoseeyousmile.c om Bowl

i agree that the college game would be alot betyter if they had a playoff, but the BCS is Ok, because it is better than just letting the media decide who is #1

Following an FCS team let me tell you playoffs are great. The problem is with the current big money involved in FBS(1-A) there will never be a playoff system, although I could see a playoff making even more money than the current bowl structure.

You are right beamout2000, and I do not understand why D-1 cannot seem to figure out a way to have a playoff as well as make all the money they could ever want. Do they think people will quit supporting their teams, and that sponsors will not throw millions their way? It is crazy.

got to have a playoff

hookem, that link didn't work... i agree with all of you, especially which ever one of you said that there'd be more money in a playoff... unfortunately, the big 10 doesn't want to get slaughtered, so they don't want a playoff, and they will hold out forever....
