The only reason I can come up with is that he is the only person they could find to write a 6 page weekly article. His preseason power rankings are a joke. How are the Bears #4 and the Panthers #18? I actually think Cutler will struggle this year especially with the their weak receiving core.

I agree, this guy receives a lot of criticism but the more astute fans find his stuff interesting.

The more interesting sports journalists do go off topic. I prefer that over the same old trite reporting.
