LOL!

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE OF HUMOR THIS JUST IN:

"Romo came up short in his bid to reach sectional qualifying for the U.S. Open when he shot an 80 in the local qualifying round Monday at Dallas National Golf Club. Should anyone be surprised that Romo failed to step up in the clutch?"

This is a time joke, right? We laugh when we have the time?

Yes, and if your a Dallas fan, you'll have PLENTY of time in the post-season, just like last year.

I guess we will see, won't we? We no longer have Owens, so that will be a big help there.

I'd say bogeying the last hole to to miss the qualifying slot by one is failing to "step up in the clutch." Shooting 80 in a US Open qualifier simply means he shouldn't quit his day job because he's not a good enough golfer.

Shooting an 80 is amazing for an amateur golfer.

Shooting that puts you in the top 1% in the world.

Jokes on you.

May 13, 2009  09:16 AM ET

Shooting an 80 is impressive for an amatuer. Shooting an 80 is not good enough for the US Open. You need to be in the top 0.0001% for that. Which is probably impossible for Romo to achieve if he wants to keep his job as a QB.

I don't know enough about "cow pasture pool" to comment on whether Romo is good or not. So, I cannot debate anything pertaining to that sport.

In fact, besides tennis, it's one of my least favorite sports.

May 13, 2009  09:23 AM ET

He just better be ready for football, tho............lol

May 13, 2009  09:48 AM ET

Romo is an amateur golfer and to shoot an 80 on a Pro Course set up and that not being your day job is a pretty good feat.

Good for him, it is the summer and he should have fun.

Still got to love the "clutch" comments about Romo....even when someone is seriously misinformed as a fan.

May 13, 2009  10:21 AM ET

Well, I've been to the Eagles site, and their fans still are fickle about him, so I guess we can't complain..........lol

Hey Jeff,

If you haven't already, go by the Steelers site and get a load of this Tim Lumber farce. Sometimes clowns like him are good for a belly laugh, but then it gets old, too.

Yep, getting rid of the best WR in the NFL should really help Romo.

Then, pray tell, why didn't your team pick him up?

No doubt Owens is a superb athlete, but he wrecks havoc wherever he goes.......He's been in Buffalo a few weeks and he's still doing the reality show....... Why? Because it's always been about him....nothing else but him....he's too self centered for me. You can have him if you think he's the "best WR in the NFL".

I'd do Romo's woman.

Nothing else to say about him OR his team. Don't care about either.

Well, if that's the case, then Romo should take Dallas to the Super Bowl.Is that your prediction?

I never predict anything, and how did you get that out of what I said?
