I say this man needs to be promoted to head coach right away:

Coach DeCamillis had surgery to stabilize a fractured vertebra on May 4, suffered in the collapse of the practice facility. He was released from hospital on May 10. Amazingly, today he ran the drills on the 1st day of OTAs, wearing a brace on his neck and yelling through a bullhorn.

While my heart goes out to all the people injured in the collapse, and especially Rich Behm and his family, I cannot but marvel at DeCamillis' sheer tenacity and HEART.

This must be a great inspiration to the whole team and should set the tone for the coming season. Talk about sending a message! I would just love to see his reaction to the first player to come to him griping about being tired or sore!

In a similar situation, how many of us would have reported back so fast? I certainly wouldn't have, shame on me.

Here's hoping that every individual player matches his determination and heart when the season starts.
