NFL  > Tampa Bay Buccaneers  > Is Mike Vick really even needed to be mentioned as a Bucs option?

I don't think we should even consider going after Mike Vick.We are heavily over booked in the QB status and Vick is no team player. I really think he needs to be picked up by another team, we get Vick i think it'll officially be our worst choice ever in this offseason. Now i can be wrong thats why im seeking your input, What do you think?

I agree. We have some valid options right now- an experienced veteran (who filled in very capably last year by the way) in Leftwich, a possible steady starter in McKown and the wild card rookie. As the Patriots have illustrated, team chemistry is vital in the NFL right now and Vick would be too much of a distraction. I'm already dubious about Winslow's affect on the team psyche without having to worry about the circus Vick would bring to town. Let him go to the Raiders who have everything he could want; an owner who loves athletes, an owner who would welcome the controversy and revel in it, an organization known for bringing in veteran outcasts, a team who doesn't care if you fit in their system or not as long as you run a fast 40 and it puts him all the way on the West Coast where the rest of us don't have to get subjected to his B.S. as much.

Please, enlighten us all then.

The one position, that has the most effect on every player that plays football for a team is the QB. WR get the passes, RB get the hand offs, Linemen protect him, defense get their rest when he is playing good ball and suck wind when he cannot convert, punters and kickers come on a play when either a td is scored or a 4th down is upon them....

with that said,

How is it, that a man who is suppose to be this great big nucleus, always takes it upon himself, to just run with the ball. He will sit there and not even look for a play to unveil, before he is off to the races and runs with the ball. Why? He is a horrible QB and selfish.

I think you need to re evaluate your opinion of Vick being a "team" player.

Tampa should stay away from this train wreck of a QB. I don't see how anyone could be interested in a QB who's career rating is 76 and completion % is 53. Especially when he is looking for the kind of money he is. 10 mil or so.....

THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS,IS THAT VICK MESSED UP IN A BIG WAY! NOTHING INVOKES THE ANGER AND PASSION OF THE PEOPLE THAN THE ABUSE AND MISTREATMENT OF ANIMALS. IT DOSENT MATTER WHAT TEAM HE ENDS UP WITH OR HOW MANY TOUCHDOWNS HE THROWS OR EVEN HIS PERCENTAGE OF COMPLETIANS. THE PUBLIC WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM AS THE MAN WHO FUNDED AND PARTICIPATED IN AN UNSPEAKABLE AND VICIOUS ACT OF ANIMAL CRUELTY. SO ...IN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION..NO WAY SHOULD THE BUCS EVEN THINK ABOUT TALKING TO HIM!!!
