Raider fans are tired of being made fun of by the rest of the world and as a result, are now in hiding.

As a Redskins fan, I would like to hide as well.

I'm not hiding...I'm excited for the season to start.
RAIDERNATION 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I'm sitting in my living room, air conditioning keeping me cool, and reading one blog after another, commenting occasionally. Then I go outside, do a little work, working up a sweat, come back in and chill, and blog some more. We have a "drought" going on here in Texas, so I can't stay outside too long, ya know.......lol

Hey 'skins....long time no see.....Guess you've been hiding too?

2009 is the year of the Raiders. As a true fan, I never hide, but I do feel disappointment. Year after year I feel the sting of defeat, and every new season I believe that this will be the year to turn it all around. No difference now, except that this IS the year! The offense will be unstoppable (even if JR struggles). The defense is much improved, although I will admit that it is still a question mark.

Oakland has the talent. Raider fans...if you have been in hiding, now is the time to rise. The only thing standing between the Raiders winning the AFC West is the Bolts, and I see them splitting the games between them. This is the year of the Raiders. Have faith and believe!

He mentions a Raider fan convention, let's see I can picture it now.

10 tons of card board covered in 50 miles of tin foil, 10,000 plastic skulls and 500 fifty-five gallon drums of face paint.

I'ts great to read this stuff. These computer geeks hiding behind their computer screens talking junk. No one talks this crap at games or in sports bars. Sure you get laughs, Aaron Brooks, My God!
But My friends and I have split the lips of many haters and smack talkers who have a belly full of liquid Courage. So Type away you pocket protector wearing nerds, I need a laugh or two these days.

When I need a good laugh I watch this team lose and marvel at all the cardboard covered in FOIL, PLASTIC SKULLS and of course the FACE PAINT (normally reserved for sweet folk across the bay) and laugh my tail off. This started after your return to Oak, the people in LA don't need to role play like your pathetic fans (of course none of said fans will this because they are at the movies watching Harry Potter).

Sorry Flu Bug, I have not been in a movie theater in almost half a decade. I pass the Time watching Manny & The Dodgers. If they are out of town, the Angels. Before that I watched the Lakers become champs again. But the only football that is here is the USC Trojans, now that the XFL is gone.
My God ! What have they done !

Every fan is excited about the upcoming 09' season, but come Raiders! why are you excited? lions have a better chance of reaching the playoffs than you. be honest with yourself, it'll hurt less.

And the Broncos with the new coach, windy city QB who sucks, Receiver who wants out are going to be good?
How about the K.C. Quiefs? new coach, no Gonzales and same weak line. Castle & Vrable cant do it all.
Sice you have the terminator logo, help that lame to approve a budget for this rotten State. Or better yet rename it MEX-IFORNIA ! ODALAY !

As long as Cable doesn't get gun-shy in the midst of losses, and we realize we're building for the long haul, it will be a good season.

If we could win one or two more games, be positioned to pick up an offensive lineman I've got my eye on in the draft, and stick with the Cableguy we'll do fine.

Seeing as how it takes 3-4 years (or more depending on team, and learning curve) for these guys to get their pro-legs, I'm happy to have Russell, DHB, McFadden and Mitchell.

Give them time, consistent coaching structure and faith, and their love of the game, their work ethic and their talent will bring the team together.
