MLB  > General MLB  > Home Run Record 61 OR 73

The current HR king is Bonds with 73 but if a player were to hit 61+ (Maris' Record) HRs in the upcoming years and is a 'clean' player (no positive tests of steroids or HGH). Would any of you consider him the single season HR king or does he have to beat Bonds' 73.

I feel the MLB should seriously consider throw out the record of every player who has tested positive, admitted or been convicted of a steroid related offense. Also, if you test positive for steroids in your career, you are automatically ineligable to be in the HOF. I would be impressed if a player like Howard or Pena were to hit 64 HRs and i feel the media and fans should embrace him as the real HR King. I love baseball and was the first North American sport I player but it seems everytime baseball makes headlines now a days is for all the wrong reasons.
