NFL  > Tampa Bay Buccaneers  > Doom has come back

For the last few years the Glaziers have been pumping out mad money to Manchester United at the expense of trying to rebuild the Bucs. These guys no longer care about having a winner. The ghost of Hugh Culverhouse has come home to roost.Just watch.

The face of the bucs have changed understandably but i disagree with you comment, i believe this is a new strong team that may possibly win 7 or 8 games, but ounce they pull it together they will be a real power house on the offense. The bucs will never go back to that every game losing streak i refuse to believe that that's even possible, dont get me wrong the D isnt the D we know and love and they may never be again but the O has stepped it up and i think that will be the shocker for all the fans who lost faith. The team will surprise people this yr and even more the following yr now you sit back and watch that.

I TRULY BELIEVE THAT THE BUCCS WILL SURPRISE ALOT OF PEOPLE THIS YEAR. I THINK THEY FINEALLY HAVE A COACH THAT THEY RESPECT AND WILL PLAY VERY HARD FOR. THEY ARE DEFINEANTLY GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

Doom, despair, and agony on me
Deep dark depression, excessive misery
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all
Doom, despair, and agony on me.

Sorry Buc fans....I couldn't resist..."-)....this author evidently has no faith in his team.

Good luck to the rest of the fans..........well, 'cept on opening day of course. Hope the Bucs go 15-1, with the one loss to my 'Boys, of course..............

Guess we'll see huh?.........................:-)

I have no problem with your team or fans, so don't take me as a basher. I enjoy blogging and chatting with other teams fans. What I said earlier was all in jest and fun.

I don't think the 'Boys have fallen that far, tho, but you have the right to your opinion.

Good deal.

I have a lot of relatives in Tampa, and used to live there myself for a few months when I was in high school. Went to a high school.........Robinson?............where John Reaves and Steve Spurrier went, if memory serves me well, which it don't a lot of times..........lol

I disagree you can never compare the Glazers to Culverhouse they are spending where it needs to spend and not mortgaging the future on one player (ie Redskins) Especially after the change in management you can see the Bucs are taking the approach to build team that can compete year after year unlike Gruden who manged to only do good after he had a bad year. Don't get me wrong I liked Gruden but he never had the patience to build a team.

Gruden never impressed me.That's not saying I dislike the man, tho. If you ask my opinion, he won the SB with Dungy's people, much like Switzer did with Jimmy Johnson's.

His temper left a lot to be desired too. If he would have come spitting in my face like it seemed like he did a lot, I would have knocked him back into last week..............lol

My Opinion on this Super Bowl win is that everyone is jumping over the guy who's really responsible for that ring in tampa. Yes it was Dungy's team, but it was grudens plays, the real hero of that win was Monte Kiffen, the D was the reason the bucs were the bucs for ever, and it was Monte Kiffen's D who brought us to the show and brought the Championship to tampa.

I hear people saying gruden didnt win that superbowl but you must admit that gruden plays worked better for that superbowl team than dungy's plays but we've never had an offense, and we've always had that top notch D.

MONTE KIFFEN:I think it's due time this guy got his credability for what he's done here in tampa.

Why didn't they hire him as the HC?

He never wanted to be head coach of any team, he had numerious offers in the past seasons and he denied them all. The guy loves the D, he is even under his son now as the Deffensive coach of the college team his son's coaching.
