More often than not it takes "X" number of years to develop as a NFL QB. The Manning's of the NFL are rare. Even Brady took a while. While there is no guarantee that Vince will ever be a great "NFL" QB, you can't rule out the possibility. There is a lot of talent there.....if he can just get his head in the game.
As of right now the Titans have to act in the best interest of the Titans. Right now, they do not see Vince as the right option. The see Kerry as working out better for them this year. As an organization you have to act for the right now while planing for the future. They may see Vince as the future.....then again they may go for a QB in next year's FA/draft???
1. If the Titans keep Vince and he works out to be a great QB......great!
2. If the Titans keep Vince and he doesn't work out......darn......but expect them to have another QB around.
3. If the Titans let go of Vince and he works out.....kudos to Vince, but I don't feel sad for the Titans b/c they made the best decision given the circumstances
4. If the Titans let go of Vince and he doesn't work out........too bad for Vince. maybe it's best for the Titans.
Bottomline: you can't expect the Titans to pay "superstar" bucks for a "what if factor" QB. The future is in Vince's hands this year. He didn't give the Titans an ultimatum....."he" finally realized where "he" stands.
VY on the Vikes would be SICK.
ADP, VY and Harvin in the wildcat would be so awesome. I hate the Vikes but if they pulled this off I would instantly become a fan (just behind the Cowboys of course).
Way too good of a football talent to be on the sidelines. Period.

Vince Young just isn't mentally tough enough. If he hasn't realized it yet (and I hope he has) he's not in college anymore and things wont be handed to him on a silver platter.
QUOTE(#4):
VY had a great rookie year and I can think of about 8-10 teams that would want him:1. Buffalo
2. San Fran
3. Cleveland
4. Minnesota
5. Kansas City
6. Denver
7. Washington
8. Oakland
9. Houston
10. Dallas (Romo will be exposed w/o T.O.
Vince Young did have a good rookie year but that was almost 3 years ago. That being said here's a reason why the teams you listed don't want him
1. Buffalo has trent edwards who is a better qb and will have a better career
2. San Fran has no qbs but Vince is to weak mentally to handle Mike Singletary's criticism
3. Cleveland has DA and Quinn
4. Minnesota might want him but how much better is he than Tavaris? They both aren't very accurate and are mistake prone
5. Kansas City just got Casell
6. Denver has a new head coach who doesn't know what he's doing so maybe VY could end up there.
7. Washington has Campbell. He's not as athletic but a lot smarter with the ball.
8. Oakland already has Jamarcus Russell...why trade one bust for another? Don't they cancel each other out?.....
9. Houston has Schaub and he's a beast. He just needs to stay healthy for an entire season.
10. Dallas is in love with romo and no matter what happens with the team it's never his fault
I always the he was a bust. i also don't understand how he won the rookie of the year award with one of the worst if not the worst QB ratings in the league. there was too much hype about this guy from the get-go. thanks ESPN!!
ryan leaf was taken 2nd overall and you see how well that worked out for him. Maybe a team can put him at wide receiver or something. that usc-ut title game that was supposed to produce so many nfl stars hasn't lived up to its billing. out of all the players that played in that game who has had the best career thus far? leinart is poop. dido for vy. bush is mediocre along with white and huff as far as i'm concerned is a bust also
Vince wants out if he can't "win" his starting job back??!! Vince was a waste of a pick..I was one of the last ones to jump off the Vince band wagon but he has been very dissappointing..if he wants to start he's sot to win the job back and win back the trust of all the titans fans GO TItans!!!
Vince Young has done well every year he has started in the NFL. And would have gotten even better his third year had Jeff Fisher not done the unthinkable, banched Vince Young for Kerry Collins.
Jeff Fisher panicked when he should have used patience with a young successful quarterback.
Something is wrong with this picture. Something happened before the 2008 season that turned Jeff Fisher against his young quarterback. All coaches know that your sucess is determinded by your WINS and LOSES.
Look at Vince Young's win and loses and ask yourself WHY would you bench a guy with so much upside potential???? It looks like Jeff Fisher is purposely trying to discredit Vince Young.
Hmmm, let me rebuttle.
Jeff Fisher: One of the longest tenured and higher winning percentage coaches in the NFL. Has been listed among the most honored as well. He's been in the league a long time. Coached some fantastic teams and a couple HOF QB's (Moon, McNair). However he has not won a SB.
Vince Young: Absolutely amazing college QB. Had "ok" first couple years in the league, not "great." He's also "not as bad" as others make him out to be. Even Tom Brady rode the bench for years behind a better QB at the time (Bledsoe). There's no shame in riding the bench and learning for few years. He's been seen doing some charitable events around Nashville, and been seen "making it rain" in the clubs and been accused of having questionable mentle behavior. He may be the future of the Titans, for someone else, or none of them.
If it is all about "wins and losses", "numbers", "X's and O's". It would be logical to side with Fisher on this one.
I realy think that fisher is a bone head he need to stop listening to the public and the people
about the spread offense it can work trust me that is the same talk that kept Eddie Robbinson
out of the NFL it is 11 on 11 on the football field only difference is some people play football and you have guys who are football players you have to know who they are right of the top and that is what made Jimmy Johnson so great in College and Pro
