NFL  > Cleveland Browns  > Browns should trade for Vince Young
June 2, 2009, 12:18 PM
The Browns should trade Derek Anderson and a 2nd round pick to Tennessee for Vince Young. Young had a great rookie year, has a great arm, great feet (like Big Ben) and since the Brownies are rebuilding he can take the whole season to learn Mangini's new offense. If the trade pans out, Mangini would look like a genius, and if it doesn't the Brownies still have Brady Quinn and Mangini can take the job he has always wanted as a tour guide for Trailways.

Derek Anderson and a Second Round pick? For Vince Young???

Dude, at least give Quinn a couple of games before you start hallucinating about things like this.

wouldn't be a bad trade except for the financial end. i think VY makes significantly more than DA, but I could be wrong. i would rather have VY than DA as a backup tho.

No wonder the Browns are always losers. So are there fans. Give Quinn a decent line, running game
and a chance to play.

THERE Fans??? THERE? Seriously???? If you're going to call us losers at LEAST know which THERE, THEIR, THEY'RE to use. What a dope!

Here's a hint moron.... the "there" you used indicates a place, not possession.

By the way, not "all" Cleveland fans thing we should be trading QB's....

...Thing? Not all Cleveland fans thing? There goes your literary superiority, Buck.

Come on... there's a difference between a typo and not knowing the difference. I am just sick of all the people in this country who can't even speak ONE language fluently. I am also sick of people who don't take any joy in how well their team does, but take more joy in going into other teams' forums and giving other teams a hard time. That's not being a fan... that's being pathetic.

how can vince young expect to be traded to another team? he was a mistake in the first place, can't play, can't cope with pressure and can't read....sorry, but that play book has instructions as well, it is not just about See Spot Run!

heck both mannings had trouble in the beginnin as did rivers the list could go on for awhile. Look at both top QBs from the draft that year they are both ridin the bench in place of some reborn veterans. Wasnt vince young on suicide watch last season, obviously he cant deal with real pressure.

terrible trade. VY doesn't fit in with the mankok system, and he has a bad habit of throwing
more picks than touchdowns. he's also inaccurate and has decision making problems. his instincts whether to run or throw don't work out too well. notice the titan's 13-3 and season without him. Plus, ManKok likes draft picks and isn't in a position to 'win now'. let them absorb some talent and improve the wins-losses ratio.

What if QB's such as Vick and Young tried out in another position, such as wide receiver, or maybe running back? I believe they would have more success with their careers if they'd try, but egos would likely get in the way. Kordell Stewart tried various positions. So can these guys. If they really want to play, that is.

The Cowboys are trying that with Isaiah Stanback, .......a former QB turned wide receiver, but he stays injured, so it's hard to tell whether he'd make anything. This year will tell whether he'll make the team or the release list.
Vick, assuming he comes back, would make a better runner than a QB, as would Young, in my opinion.
