NFL  > Pittsburgh Steelers  > Seriously Steel

Going into the 09', 10' season, the Steelers only loss is McFadden. Timmons is ready to start as well as Gay. Now this doesn't mean that we are automatically gonna win S.B XLIV, so lay off with your the stupid interpretations for my last posting. 6 reasons why, was meant for true Steeler fans that knew what i was talikng about. It means no matter what we are the greatest NFL franchise until someone de-throwns us by winning more S.B's. Now the only team that looks like they are close are the Cowgirls, but come on now. how long has it been?

"He couldn't spell cat if you spotted him the c and the t"

Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson, former Cowboys LB, commenting on Terry Bradshaw, and reiterated by One.Cool.Customer about steel_bullitt's orthographic prowess.

However, I would immensely enjoy a Steeler-Cowboy SB, as that would mean one more ring, and almost as importantly, an end to the seemingly endless drought of playoff wins.

June 9, 2009  07:09 PM ET

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THAT!!!!

June 9, 2009  07:21 PM ET

I am not a die hard fan, but I do like the Steelers, and yes you are the best team in the history of the NFL until someone wins more SB's.
Steelers 6-1
49ers 5-0
Cowboy 5-3

Last I looked, I wasn't the only one who asked "why what?" A couple of your brethren asked it as well. I, for one, agree that the Steelers have the best shot, but they don't have the ONLY shot.

And, I agree with OCC........."I would immensely enjoy a Steeler-Cowboy SB, as that would mean one more ring, and almost as importantly, an end to the seemingly endless drought of playoff wins."

One more ring for who? The Cowboys? The Steelers are 2-1 against the Cowboys in Super Bowls.

June 10, 2009  12:39 AM ET

"We"?

You are part of the Steelers organization?

If this is the case, then the organization has to immediately hire some English teachers. The grammar is stuck at a 3rd grade level.

Of course, for the Cowboys, but then it could mean another for the Steelers as well.

The Cowboys indeed. I had hoped my profile picture in combination with the the quote by a Dallas player deriding a Pittsbugh player would have provided sufficent albeit oblique clues to the investigative mind about my allegiances. Alas, I was mistaken.

From the current crop of SB favorites from the AFC I could not imagine a more exciting matchup with the Cowboys than the Steelers. A storied rivalry that goes back generations and dates to the first game the Cowboys ever played, in 1960.

Imagine the headlines leading up to the game.

Imagine the ratings during the game.

Imagine all those tear-drenched yellow towels after the game.

Ah, yes, perchance to dream.

The Patriots? Gimme a break, who honestly wants to see them in the SB again? Ravens or Titans? Bah! To this day I am still confused which team they really are and from which city they really hail.

So go Steelers! I'm rooting for you all the way to the SB in Miami and a rematch in the SB 2001 in Dallas.

Now wouldn't that be something.

I agree all those "yellow towels" would have tears on them. Steeler fans would hand the towels over to sobbing Cowboy fans. The towels, however, would not be "drenched" in tears because there would be a very limited number of Cowboy fans in attendance because Steeler fans would buy them all up!

If both teams play like they should, then I think it would be a toss up, and whoever scored last would likely win. With that being said, I think it could be a game of the ages.

The 'Boys and the Steelers SB games in the 70's were two of the best games ever played, in my opinion. You guys have Big Ben now, instead of O'Donnell, so you're improved there for sure. Romo is very talented, but still has some proving to do. Don't take this wrong, but you and others may bash Romo for his "failures", but it still is a team game. When I say "you", I mean a lot of people in general and no one in particular.

Your team has the best owner, hands down, insofar as being hands off and letting the football people do their job. Ours wants to win so bad he can't see straight, and sometimes I wonder when he makes mistakes, why he won't admit it, such as firing Johnson, still "friendly" with Owens, the rumors of Pac Man returning..........etc.

Not sure when we will get number 6, as it may be after Stephen inherits the team, but eventually we will. But, looking at it, 5 wins isn't shabby, considering there are still teams who've never been, and some likely never will.

8 appearances isn't too bad either, and still a record.

If not for O'Donnell's obvious attempts at ensuring the outcome of the Steelers' lone SB loss, the Black & Gold would be 7-0. Neil must have gotten in trouble with the 'sharks or made a handsome financial agreement with JJ. Even the infamous Bubby Brister would have done less damage. It's telling that, according to well-placed sources, O'Donnell did not travel with the rest of the team back to Pittsburgh after the SB and did not return at all to the Steel City, fearing bodily harm from one of the myriad fans he so enraged. He was unceramoniously released by the team after that game......

That's pretty bad. But, I doubt Jerry Jones would have stooped that low, but then one never knows.

Hey Steeler fans!

My friend up near Pittsburgh has her own page, although it's not a dedication thing or whatever, but more a music page, but the pic of the Steelers on it should be worth a look see anyway. I told her this morning I was going to share it with you guys. She has a shout box on it too, so tell her Keith (my real name) sent you......:-)......and share with the other fans too, if you want.
