favre. His time has passed. Time to move on brett, hang up the cleats, call it quits and stop trying to win a S.B. enjoy your one ring.
If his arm is healthy... lets see him play! His is absolutey the most exciting player of the past several years. I think he will do well with the Vikings... as long as his throwing arm can last the season. Long live Brett!
If Favre wanted to play he should not have retired in the first place. Favre is attempting to stick it to Ted but what he is really doing is sticking to to the fans. Non Packer Fans don't understand the insult that is tied to this, it would be like Barry Sanders going to Green Bay, or Troy Aikman going to Washington, it would not be right. He didn't have to go MN to play he could have stayed in New York or stay in Green Bay and not retire. But because of his grudge he retired again in New York and that released him of his obligation to the Jets thusly so he could go to the Vikes and stick it to the Packers. If Brett does retire I will say Long Live Brett, but if he goes to the Vikes, I hope the Pack crush him.
he going to come out and play for the vikes
we need to stop talking about this has been

Stop saying if he plays.. We all know he will, He will suit up for the Vikes...!!!
I just think about Joe Montana playing for KC and beating the Steve Youngs 49ers. If he wants to play it's always his choice and no one should tell him otherwise, especially fans. I can see his position of wanting to play against your old club, why wouldn't you? Packers trade him with a clause that who ever he's traded to (Jets) they aren't allowed to send him to the vikes or anyone within the NFC North... Talk about fueling the fact more of wanting to play against the Packers even more... You know Joe Montana wanted that shot to play against the 49ers and more importantly beat Steve Young... It has nothing to do with him being selfish, He's acheived enough for the fans and packers and the NFL records book but he has some personal goals and things he has to prove for himself, He's earn that right for what he has given to the NFL, Packers and his fans. He's earn the right !!! The meat and potatos to him is facing the Packers twice and beating them...The gravy is a deep playoffs run, Maybe a Superbowl shot? He's deserves to go out the way he wants on his terms..!!!
I'm not sure Packers fans know everything that was said and done about him quitting, playing quitting playing. Is there any reason why they did not accept him back in G.B. to challenge for the starting QB? That right there is the slap in the face that Packers fan need to realize. I f I was Favre, I would love to stick it to GB organization as well, and if your a packers, fan, you should realize that it isn't your fault he is doing this.

I have been a Viking fan since 1961 and through it all, Highs and Lows, I have come to realize that the NFL is a business first, Its about making money, a lot of money. Sure, owners want to win the Super Bowl, maybe for ego's sake, but never forget this is about making money. Brett Favre is an entertainer, a high priced entertainer. The final decision to put him in a Viking uniforum will be the logistics of revenue. Behind the scenes, Brett has many friends and fans all aournd the league and even in Green Bay, he built his career and his legend there. I don't believe for a moment that he really holds a grudge towards the Packer organization. Remember, its a business and rivalries are created to bring more fans into the market place. Play or not to play , I am not going to lose one nights sleep if Brett decides to hang up the cletes. Sone players just can't handle life after football, Steve McNair, for example made some very poor decisions, that eventualy cost him his life. So, Brett's decision will be interesting, from a fan's point of view, it's just another topic to stir the manic fan's passion.
Let it go Packers fans. I love the pack but I love Brett too. He was fired from his job. He is being offered $10 million to work for another company. Would you turn that down? He didn't demand a trade untill Ted told him he did not have a job anymore. The guy just wants to work. Let him bee and enjoy his greatness.

I've daid it once, I'll say it again .....
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in an attractive and well preserved body.
No Sir!!
But rather to "Skid in Sideways - Beer in one hand, Blonde in the other, Body thoroughly used up, Ripped up, Totally worn out, Torn Down, Thrashed, Trashed - Kickin-&-Screaming .... 'HOLY-SH|T ... What a Freaking Ride!'
Use it up Brett .... Use it - A L L - up
Please people get it right, Green Bay told him he could come back and compete against Aaron Rodgers for the starting QB. He refused. It was his own doing and he is trying to stick it to Green Bay - make no mistake Mr. "ME" only thinks of himself. As a GB fan as soon as he puts that purple jersey on - he's dead to me. And I'm laughing at the circus he's now creating for the Vikings. We'll never forget you Brent
First of all, I am NOT happy w/Packers management. Any success Brett can gain, good for him! The Packers management did not handle the whole Favre retirement well. I am looking forward to watching him play with any NFL team, especially the Viks. I just hope and pray his arm has healed well. If not...he should not be playing at this time (IMO).
yes he is fun to watch, or should i say "was" fun to watch. look out though his shoulder is damaged goods and no one wants to talk about that. one good hit and he will be history. just wait and see...
I cant wait for another season of below plays from a once great qb..yay.

Sigh....I really am starting to think that Favre is bi-polar or something. He is pretty much guaranteed to make the NFL Hall of Fame if he could just accept the fact that it's over and stay retired!! Does he really hate being at home that much? Geesh. Step out of your comfort zone and start a new career Brett!

You're a tool. Favre was holding the Packers hostage. Favre came to the conclusion that Brett Favre was bigger than the great history of the Green Bay Packers. Sorry, but a "Me first" attitude can hit the highway. The Vikings will regret this and I can't wait for a Packer linebacker to knock this once great QB out of the game.

He wouldn't compete for the position. He thought he should have been given it straight out. If he would have competed with Rogers for the position an won it fine, if he would have lost it same thing. He said he retired and they went ahead and got Rogers ready. So Rogers after putting all that time and effort in should have given it up because Brett decided he wanted to play again? That would have been dumb.
