30 DAYS........HAHAHA
I AM JUST CURIOUS ON HOW MUCH HE PUT OUT TO STAY OUT.

LETS FACE IT, IF WERE YOUR AVERAGE CITIZEN HE OR SHE WOULD BE SENTENCED TO YEARS NOT JUST 30 DAYS.

MONEY DOES TALK. IN THIS CASE IT WAS $,$$$,$$$'S

LET'S SEE HE HAD TO PAY OFF THE FAMILY FIRST THEN THE JUDGE TO MAKE SURE. IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH HE WOULD HAVE HAD TO PAY OFF THE D.A.

IF ANY JUSTICE IS GIVEN OUT HE WILL SUSPENDED WORSE THAN MICHAEL VIC.

REMEMBER HE KILL SOMEBODY........

Not to take away from the pain of the family, but the guy was crossing illegally. I know he was over the limit, speeding 10 over, and stupid, but there shouldn't have been a person on the road either.

Actually, a LOT of lawyers have commented on this case, and it is less unusual than you think. He was contrite, cooperated with the investigation, and has never had any other issues on his record. There is also some question from the prosecutors office about whether a sober person would have been able to stop in time in this circumstance. I am sure the settlement with the family is huge, as it should be.

I also think you should do your research. The average citizen actually fairs equally or even better in cases similar to those of celebrities.... because in celebrity cases, there is actually more pressure for stiff punishment than in the "average" case.

The truth is, had the prosecutor thought the case was air tight and entirely his fault... he probably would have gone with a stiffer penalty.

Don't get me wrong... this is a terrible situation... and the penalty seems really light. But celebrity and money is probably the last reason he got off light.

By the way, your caps lock appears to be on.

The Michael Vick case had a lot of factors that went the opposite way. Vick was not contrite, he did not cooperate (in fact he lied), plus he tried to cover up information.
