SO lets get somethin good goin in here: How much should the browns use Harrison at R-back? Do people really wanna see Cribbs leave i dont no matter what? How bout anderson takin 2 weeks to relax after minicamps and Quinn is goin to keep training w/our recievers. Do you think that Gives Quinn an edge or does it show he reaaly wants the job and DA doesnt care?

Hrrison should be utilized hes got great speed off the edge and has been pretty good when we got to see him. Cribbs should stay he is the best all around athlete we have. DA is proving he is a lazy bum you would think he would want to get as much chemistry w/our recivers as possible so Quinn will definitely have the edge

Harrison has been under utilized in the past. I think we now have depth at RB and should be successful whichever direction we go.

I am not a supporter of DA, but to be fair to him, I believe he is nursing a minor injury.

I think everyone would like to keep Cribbs stay, but it depends on how he handles his contract obligations.

As for Stallworth, stick a fork in him (for the near term anyway).

What exactly did Stallworth do for the browns besides pull his hammy in warm-ups.

Fact!

stallworth is so done we should just release him if it doesn hurt the team in terms of cap penalties. He really didnt do **** for us . That hammy thing is hilarious cuz its so true.

Harrison is obviously fast as hell, but the NFL graveyard is littered with bones of fast guys; we'll see if he holds up if he can get more carries. I don't think Jamal Lewis is done; ManKok has obviously made getting more "push" out of the O-line a priority. Bust some holes open and JL will still be a stud hoss. Not sure ya really need "speed off the edge" out of a RB in the NFL, unless it involves a busted play; the outside LBs/DEs are too fast (only a legit part of the game in college).

Cribbs is a real gamer; I'd hate to see him leave. But I have to say, if the rumors are true and the Browns are considering a trade for Brandon Marshall involving Cribbs and a pick, then it's a no-brainer. Pull that trigger. Marshall's a monster; just hope he has a Randy Moss style change of personality once he gets to Cleveland.

DA still might be a starter, but probably not in Cleveland. Could you give your best effort, really, in a place where you are consistently booed, and you believed (rightly or wrongly) that all the "fans" hated you?

Stallworth was a mistake, period. Cut him and you cut your losses. Both Robiskie and Massaquoi have better potential to be good #2 receivers. Robiskie might be a legit #1/second #1. He didn't get to show it last year at tOSU because the offense changed with the rise of a frosh QB (Aaron Pryor). Edwards will play his testes off this year, stay or go in 2010, at least if he wants a nice, fat contract in 2010. He has the ability. If the Browns get Marshall for Cribbs & a pick (see above), or even if the rookie WRs step up in the case that Cribbs and Marshall stay put, Browns' offense looks potentially very scary. Even if Charlie Frye comes back to play QB! Winslow had one good year, and won't be missed. Even if he plays to his great potential in Tampa, Browns fans should never regret that trade.

The REAL question is: how many holes will the DEFENSE have? They may, again, be scary BAD!

I'd like to see us become a contender again , Yes defense and offensive line needs work

Actually I look at the D and see potential for radical improvement. They kept Rogers at nose tackle. They've added like half the Jet's Defensive roster. I think Elam and Bowens had nearly ten sacks between them last year. Barton will team with Jackson on the inside. Mangini is great at developing DB's and we have a Ryan as coordinator.

I think that this team has some major potential on both sides of the football. I recently read an article about BQ going somewhere to do a workout between mini camp and training camp, so posed to be a better program then Jamal's, and there being a good possibility of BE going to go with him. I think the Browns will suprise some teams this year, they might not win a lot more than last year (2-4 more wins) but I think they will be very competitive. If they finish with 7 or 8 wins and look like a football team, I think I can live with that for the 09' season.

Go Browns!!

Yeah I would be overjoyed at 7 or 8 wins.... and if the rest of the games aren't blow-outs even better.... I also would add that I would like those 7 or 8 wins to look like the start of something solid... not just a bunch of hacked together wins.

In fact, I would take less wins if it looks like we are building a foundation. That's been my biggest frustration is that every year it looks like we are scrapping what we were building on and starting over.

Totally agree (except maybe about the "overjoyed")! That's one point you have to give He Who Shall Remain Nameless (you know who I mean, BuckAye)... as much as the Steelers are, or at least once were, the Browns' hated rivals, their organization is to be emulated. Come up with a plan, ie, a solid front office and coaching staff, and STICK WITH IT! Realize that it may mean some up and down years... STICK WITH IT! Their may be some false starts, some disappointing picks, some surprises... STICK WITH IT! Life is a learning process... making the same damn mistakes over and over again (as the Browns have been doing, basically since the late 80's/early 90's), DOES NOT CONSTITUTE EXPERIENCE!

Ok maybe I went too far with overjoyed. maybe. :)

Yes, I have NEVER disputed the guy who we won't give the satisfaction of mentioning any of his many inflamatory and idiotic names on the point that the Steelers are a great organization. We have got to stop the if we don't win now... pull all the levers and see what we get next year mentality. You have to make a plan... and make adjustments one lever at a time. It may SEEM slower... but this changing everything, every year thing has cost us a decade. The only team that seems more lost than we are is the Radiers..... maybe Buffalo.

OUR NEW BATTLE CRY - STICK WITH IT!!!! (no matter what IT is!).

June 23, 2009  12:57 PM ET

Sounds like a plan.......STICK WITH IT!

I think we have all of the pieces in place for a good start and we have to start somewhere. And we finally have a coach that is not a rookie. Can someone please get this message to Randy Learner?

June 23, 2009  09:21 PM ET

Corey Williams as a 3-4 end....STICK WITH IT!

June 24, 2009  04:12 AM ET

So we are agreed! This means no calling for ManKok's head(s) on a platter for at least 4-5 years, no matter what. This is key. Remember what happened with Belichick in Cleveland... he benched Bernie, then explained that Kosar had "eroding skills" at that point. This was ham-handed and clumsy, and instantly earned him undying hatred from charter members of The Cult of The Orange Helmet, who helped punch his ticket out of Satan/Art's organization. But you know what? Love him or hate him, Billy B's assessment of Our Beloved Bernie was absolutely right! And look where Billy has been since then!

In short, however you or I might feel about ManKok' s history, intelligence, parentage, or, more importantly, any decisions that he (they) may make in the near future, love him (them) or hate him (them), we will abide. He/they is/are far more qualified to make those decisions, and even mistakes, than you or I.

Have faith. No beotching (sp). These guys can do it. It may take a few years. STICK WITH IT!

And, most importantly, GO BROWNS!

Please elaborate as to why you mention an individual player. I don't think anyone is saying that we have to live and die with any one player. What we need is for ownership and the fans to give the current staff a chance to fail, learn, and grow. No one wants to see any failures, but to some degree, it is a necessary element to growing the team.

STICK WITH IT!

the browns need to stop messing around and get concerned with the pass rush.
pass rush+tight ends=biggest weaknesses.
Oline is fantastic.
whatever QB we choose, he needs to make the right decisions. poor decision making
is a browns QB tradition. fix it.
browns go 7-9 or 8-8. chalk it up
