NFL  > Chicago Bears  > Cutler Being Diplomatic??
June 19, 2009, 03:34 PM
Although he hasn't proven anything on the field yet, his time in
training camp and off-field remarks have shown that he can be
the QB Chi Town wants and needs. When discussing his wide receivers,
he showed full confidence in their abilities. He seemed very happy with the talent and targets he has to throw to now and threw out multiple compliments toward the team as a whole and his fellow receivers/teammates. As for the potential incoming Plaxico Burress or Brandon Marshall, Jay seemed very mellow. What do you think?

Whats the point now, theirs 2 months left until football. He came to this team as is. Got use to the WR core and not really expecting a change. I mean either one of those 2 will help. Plax I doubt he goes to jail if so it will be for like 2 weeks... We have no idea what the commissioner is gonna do. The Bears are looking at now and what could they do to succeed with who they have. If they would have given people an idea on whats gonna happen with Plax he would have been on the Bears or another team by now. So everyone is lost in the dark with him right now. They have no idea what is going to happen for the 09 season. They also say when Plax doesn't get his way he tends to be a very big cry baby...Like really bad talking crap back and forth with coaches and not showing up to practice. Doesn't respect his team. I mean we would be taking a rsik with this guy...And Marshall one of my favorite WR in this game... I would love to have this guy on our team..But the Bears would have to give up to much and really all we have are picks and Defensive weapons in pluss he has continues legal issues. The Bears arnt really looking to break up the Offense it seems like. If we get him that would be Great actually better then great..but I cant see that happening ..Cutler is smart you gotta speak as if your WR are the greatest in the world...They see those interviews too. SO that builds up confidants to his boys which when you have confidant's you play like a pro a build off of you mistakes...Trust me they know what there doing surprisingly as it seems..So thats my opionion....So Diplomatic im not sure he's just playing it safe....

As far as Plexiglass is concerned, I would expect the worst with the commissioner, then you won't get surprised. Then, you can go on from there and if Plex gets an "early release" or something, so much the better, but I'd figure on him NOT being there for awhile, and plan accordingly.

This is, of course, if the Bears do indeed sign him, or plan to sign him.

Aaron Rodgers is the best quarterback in the North. Check the stats if you don't believe me.

Really? Is that why he finished 6-10? Wow. Great argument. Rodgers will take a permanent back seat to Cutler.

The win-loss record is considered a statistic, right? LMAO! Cutler has great promise, no doubt about it!

WOW Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the North huh thats not hard to do when you go up against the likes of Ferrote/Jaclson Orton/Grossman or wait for it wait for it........Culpepper/orlovsky/kitna what an accomplishment lets all give Rodgers a round of applause

Cutler is the man!! :]

Listen to this. He can manage a interview better then past QB's. Yes I agree he hasn't played yet. But we don't have to hear Rex messing up in interviews. And Orton having to be not that responsive in interviews. At least this is the first Bears QB to manage a good thing to say then having bad things to say. And thats crap buddy Aaron Rodgers has better stats. LOL Rodgers never played great last year. And he will stink it up again this year. I expect Minnesota and Detriot to do better then the Packers.

It is not time to be diplomatic, it is time to lead, tell them what is missing, and let's play...GO Bears!!!!!

Well the stats say Rodgers is the superior QB(after 1 year so it doesn't mean much), but I agree it doesn't mean a whole heck of a lot without wins.

Then again you can say that Cutler's record hasn't been any better. 17-21 as a starter isn't any better than 6-10.

Actually it is better, Rogers has a .375 win percentage, Cutler .447. Now given this was Roger's first year as a starter so expect him to do a little better in his second year. But Cutler is going to have a better running game and better defense than he did in Denver so call that a wash.

Wether or not Cutler really believes he has a true no. 1 in Hester, and wether or not Cutler believes this group of Receivers/Tight Ends is good enough (they're not), he is doing the RIGHT thing by expressing confidence in them, and if Cutler actually buys into it himself it will be even better for Chemistry between him and receivers. There is not much worse than a QB who does not have faith in his receivers.

Is that for you to decide? I think not.

What you should do tho, is find the Romo bashers and go bash on them. These guys have done nothing to you, nor will they.

Plenty of Romo Bashers out there to keep you busy, don't you think?
