U.S. Soccer Hooligans  > U.S. Soccer Hooligans Message Board  > The State of U.S. Soccer: June 20, 2009

I see alot of fans concerning the fact that they hope that the U.S. will lose against Egypt so it will guarantee the sacking of Bob Bradley. I mean I think we all can agree that Bob needs to be fired but at the same why would we want to suffer further embarrassment.

Bob has done nothing of quality for the Mens team he brought in some new good players like Feilhaber, Edu, Bradley, Klejtsan, and Torres but it seemed like he payed attention too much in the central midfield and ignored quality attackers. People can say that he brought in Altidore but just like what people said about Liverpool's Rafa Benitez on picking up Fernando Torres "even a monkey could of seen how good he is".

You compare Bruce Arena to Bob Bradley and does anyone see a difference? Its the same old thing: ignoring players that are doing well for favoritism(Bruce: T.Twellman, Steve Ralson, Bob:K. Cooper, S. Holden, etc.), not taking the opportunity to field strong squads against strong opponents(Bruce: 2006 vs Germany, Bob: 2008 vs England and Spain), making the sacrifices of leaving unformed players out of the lineup(Bruce: Reyna, Berhalter, O'brien, Ching. Bob: Dempsey, Beasley, Ching).

It seems our players have the talent and skill but some of our U.S. Coaches are not on the level of being of quality. We need someone to develop them and not pick players just because they have a strong bond with them. Thats basically sticking with what's safe and comfortable and not whats successful and confident. Jurgen or Bora would be a nice fit because they know the U.S. Soccer system well and have strong ties to players they've seen play.

So for now it seems the federation should analyze the state of soccer within the national team and not just put out BS like they always do. Maybe we should look at coaches in the U.S. that can actually rise to the occasion and right now I don't see a possibility of any of them doing that.

So what are your thoughts of the state of U.S. Soccer recently?
