I've been wondering if we should target Jarrod Washburn for a potential trade. He's having a nice year, the Mariners should be in sell mode, and he is a FA at the end of the year. The free agent status might make him someone that Dollar Bill DeWitt might actually let Mozeliak go after, and I don't think the price would be too steep for him. He's maybe not the impact guy that a Peavy, Buerhle or Lee would be, but given the concern ownership has with economics, he might be a more realistic fit.

Coming to the NL for the first time might help him, and he'd give us a much needed lefty in the rotation.

What does everyone think?
