George Steinbrenner will celebrate his 79th birthday today on the 4th of July. This man was involved in many controversies, but at the same time he brought winning baseball back to New York. Under Steinbrenner???s rule, from 1973???2008, the longest in club history, the Yankees have earned 10 pennants and six World Series titles. The New York Yankees wouldn???t be what they are today without him.
