NFL  > Philadelphia Eagles  > the "Calm before the storm"

The grueling months before the season opener.
Sept. 13, @ CAR. 1:00pm
The depth on this football team is Deep. Training camp should offer up some great position battles and shake out the cream of the crop, and as always...barring any injury should serve up a blend of youth, experience, and playmaking talent. The line is loaded O and D. The RB's/FB's are very talented. The WR's are explosive and dynamic. The TE's are very promising. The LB's are on the rise. The DB's/S,SS's are loaded. Speed and Power everywhere, a winning organization(without the one that matters the most), a great fan base, and great off-season and draft.
Eagles fans...we might be witnessing the birth of one of the most talented Eagles football team put together, led by a great owner and coaching staff (godspeed J.J.).
The NFC East kicks ass man, hands down...the best division in the NFL.
This season is going to be like a roller coaster ride with the momentum swings. Each team is talented enough to split with the other and make this a horse race to the end. A 16 round title match each year. Who will be the last one standing?
All is quiet now, but come Sept...come out the gates quick, don't look back, and lets finish the season strong. Let's make history in 09.
The NFC BEAST...you gotta love it.

Jackson, Demps, and Maclin will be returning kicks for TD's.
Just like the one last year against the Patriots....that was funny.
I was at that game, I looked around and you all looked like you wanted to cry.
Tragic....your fall from grace will be a shameful one.
Miami will win the division, and the pats will split with the Jets.
Your past success was a result in the lack of competition in the division.
Not any more....I can't wait to see Rex Ryan sending waves of blitzes after the cripple Brady.
Ed Reed...safety blitz, smoke that mutha-****!

The Eagles have Asante Samuel and Sheldon Brown as starters. Ellis Hobbs will only be a nickelback in Philadelphia. Despite popular belief, Sheldon Brown will not hold out. He is taking advice from Troy Vincent and Vincent told him to play.

Now I can understand why a Boston fan would still be crying about Super Bowl XLII. Hobbs did give up the easy go-ahead touchdown to Plaxico Burress with less than 2 minutes to spare. Bye, bye perfect season. But covering Burress is no longer an issue for Philadelphia..

Please, they still have Andy Reid and McNabb. Yes, they will be good, but those two will never get over the hump and win the big one.

Hobbs was not brought here to be the save all, just some depth and another return man.He is a good returner. And if Brown decides to hold out, they have another willing and able body to replace him. You Patriot fans are all alike. I know, I live in N.E.Whenever a player leaves...he sucks. When he is there...he is the ****.You Patriot fans make me sick! You are all band wagon fans...I witnessed it with my own two eyes. Nobody wore a shirt or a hat until 2001. Now you all claim to be "Die Hard" fans.****. Your all bandwagon fans! Period! Bill Parcells built that team and don't you ever forget it!

**** YOU DUMB AS.S i watched the pats when drew freaking bledsoe was the worst qb in the nfl

A great coaching staff??? that's even better than having deep depth or fast speed.....

Oh really?
Name me an active coach who has more reg. season and post season wins than Reid, besides the cheater Beli-jerk.
Solid coaching staff all across the board.
Juan Castillo is arguably the best line coach in the NFL.
Jim Johnson is right at the top for D-coordinators. (hope he wins his battle with cancer).
There's just a few, not to mention the departed that have moved on to success.
John Harbough...head coach year 1, 11 wins, made the play-offs.
Steve Spags...D-coordinator N.Y. Best D, won the superbowl.
What are you a Bengals fan? Jealous jerk!
