Kevin Costner | Bro. We know your career has needed a jump-start since The Postman. We know this. But Bull Durham 2? The New York Post reports Costner recently met with director Ron Shelton to discuss a sequel to the 1988 romcom, which Sports Illustrated deemed the No. 1 sports movie of all-time. Real-life couple Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon are also expected to reprise their roles as Nuke LaLoosh and Annie Savoy -- but as the married owners of a Major League Baseball team Costner's Crash Davis manages.
The worst-to-first Rays | Tampa Bay won its first postseason series in franchise history yesterday with a 6-2 win over the White Sox in Game 4 of the ALDS. After amassing the worst record in the majors last season, the Rays are slated to face divisional rival Boston for a spot in the World Series. Joe Maddon's upstarts edged the Red Sox by two games for the AL East title and won the regular-season series by a slim 10-8 margin. Game 1 of the ALDS is Friday at 8:37 p.m. ET.
Gus Frerotte | The 37-year-old quarterback saved Minnesota's season on Monday Night Football. With the Vikings in danger of slipping to 1-4, Frerotte found Bernard Berrian for a game-tying touchdown in the fourth quarter and drove the Vikings into position for Ryan Longwell's game-winning field goal in the final minute of regulation. The 30-27 triumph lifted Minnesota to 2-3, within one game of the first-place Bears in the NFC North.
John Lackey | The 29-year-old hurler surrendered seven hits and two runs in Monday night's ALDS Game 4 loss to Boston but left trailing 2-0 after seven innings. Lackey pitched strongly enough to win but a punchless offense spelled Anaheim's doom. The righty fell to 0-3 in six postseason starts since winning Game 7 of the 2002 World Series.
Giuseppe Rossi | The 21-year old striker -- born in Teaneck, N.J., to Italian immigrant parents and raised in nearby Clifton -- was named to the Italian senior national team for the first time, for the Azzurri's upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria (Saturday) and Montenegro (Oct. 15). Rossi, who plays for Villarreal in the Spanish top division, competed for Italy at the Beijing Olympics and last year's U-21 European Championships.

Kevin Costner was great in The Untouchables. (What was that, about 1989?) Since then, I guess you've got Dancing With Wolves and ... I forgot the other decent movie.

"Swing Vote" is possibly the most horribly misconceived Costner film of all time. And that's saying something.

Congrats to the Rays for beating the Sux, now I can walk the streets of Chicago again without those lame south side fans thinking there world series champs with 1 win.
You guys are soooo much better then the Cubbies let me tell ya! That whole one extra game showed it all.

Well there's also the White Sox' recent World Series win, as opposed to the Cubs' less recent World Series win.

Dancing with Wolves, which paved the way for Dancing with the Stars. Costner's a trailblazer!

Stick to your north side streets (probably Halsted in your case) if you are worried about Sox fans thinking we are better. As far as these playoffs goes, we definitely played better then the Cubs. One win in a fairly competitive series that not many people gave us a chance in, that's infinitely better then getting straight up embarassed 2 games at Wrigley and swept out of a series that you were heavily favored in.

Field of Dreams was unremarkable. Waterworld was dull as hell. I'd say his decent films were American Flyer (going way back), No Way Out, and The Untouchables. That's it, folks.

Bull Durham was by far Costner's best movie. Tin Cup was enjoyable, but nowhere in the same league. The sequel doesn't seem to make sense as Crash and Annie end up together at the end, not Annie and Nuke. In any event, this sequel should not be made--it is yet another item of proof that Hollywood is running out of ideas and creativity.

The most underrated movie in years. My wife was like "lets go see Mr. Brooks." I was like "**** is that." She says "a thriller with Kevin Costner." I yell " NO EFFIN WAY. COSTNER BLOWS." We end up going, lol and it was great. One of the best I have seen in a few years from any actor.

Tin Cup and Open Range were good. JFK, Thirteen Days, The Untouchables and Bull Durham were fantastic! The rest is mostly bad though.

There was another... A Perfect World...I believe that was the title; he played a crook who abducted a child. In spite of that description, good movie.

I thought Swing Vote was pretty good. Then again, I was basically just going because I thought it might lead to me getting laid, so that probably had something to do with it.
