Each day during the noon hour, we'll offer five reading recommendations from around the Web.
1. Ball Clubs Take Care Before the Bubbly Chaos (By John Branch, The New York Times): Ever wonder how many bottles of bubbly are sitting in those clubhouse tubs and where they come from? An interesting piece on the business of champagne celebrations in sports.
2. Jerry Jones exposed as gutless by Goodell's ruling (By Ian O'Connor, FOXSports.com): One writer thinks NFL commish Roger Goodell exposed Jones as a "gutless wonder" by stepping in to discipline Adam Jones when the Dallas owner wouldn't.
3. Boston's reign in sports world coming to an end (By Barbara Barker, Newsday): A New Yorker's harsh perspective: "With the Red Sox on the brink of elimination, Boston's rule at the top of the sports heap is coming to a close. The city is going from a city of winners to a city of underachieving whiners, which means we all can breath easier because, of course, this is Boston's rightful place in the sports universe."
4. No longer lone star at WR, can T.O. share spotlight? (By Jean-Jacques Taylor, Dallas Morning News): Is winning the top priority for mercurial wide receiver Terrell Owens?
5. ZIFA CEO Rushwaya in sex scandal (By Isabel Panyangara, Zimbabwe Daily News): The CEO of Zimbabwe's soccer federation is taking the blame for the team's failure to make it out of the first round of qualifying for the 2010 World Cup. Why? Because she reportedly ordered the coach to release several players after curfew for some rather dubious reasons.

RE: "Is winning the top priority for mercurial wide receiver Terrell Owens?"
Owens top priority is himself. Steve Young recently said he wasn't always like this. Apparently on the Niners he was a model teammate while Young was there.

That picture of Jayson Werth is MUCH more flattering than the one that they had of Prince Fielder from a couple of weeks back...
