As the summer heats up, SIOC thought it would be fun to take a look at some of the nation's top athletic schools and determine who it's all-time best athletes are. Our first stop is lovely Chestnut Hill, Mass., home of the Boston College Eagles. Here's our list:
1. Doug Flutie (football), 1981-84
2. Troy Bell (basketball), 1999-2003
3. David Emma (basketball), 1987-91
4. John Austin (basketball), 1963-66
5. Craig Smith (basketball), 2002-06
6. Matt Ryan (football), 2004-07
7. Brian Gionta (hockey), 1997-2001
8. Sarah Behn (basketball), 1989-93
9. Art Donovan (football), 1946-49
10. Mike Cloud (football), 1995-98
Now we want to hear from you. Who did we overrate? Underrate? Forget to rate at all? Give us your take.

What about Stephen Hawrylik the great crew captain?!?!??! Graduated in '03, led his teams to victories in Philly, Miami, and various other waterways. Recipient of the honorary oar BEFORE his senior year, destroyer of all things Notre Dame, champion and captain at any flip cup table on the Heights, silver medal player at Beirut. And I won't even get into his movie career......

am big fan of Troy Bell and Craig Smith but there are many former basketball stars who were as good or better - Terry Driscoll, Jim O'Brien, John Bagley, Michael Adams, Dana Barros - and most recently Jared Dudley - to name a few... Driscoll and O'Brien led BC to NIT finals (when that tournament had more importance than today) and a top 10 ranking... Bagley led BC to the final 8 in the NCAA's in 1982 - one of the school's two best NCAA tournament performances... Bagley a Big East Player of the Year; Dudley an ACC Player of the Year

These things are always tough, but I think any list like this has to include Joey Mullen.

Troy Bell and Criag Smith? Is the person who comprised this list 25 years old? How about John Bagley and Michael Adams, both of whom had very good NBA Careers. Bell and Smith couldnt come close to those two. And as far as hockey goes, how do you leave off future hall of famer Brian Leetch? And for football, even though Bill ROmanowski was truly a dirt bag, he was still much better than Mike Cloud. So was Steve DeOssie, So was Mathais Kiwanuaka
