4 YEAH, to show respect that is owed to KANSAS UNIVERSITY when the snobs from UNC stole him away. After giving his asst. one year then the boot.... I hated Roy when he left honestly, but now no more grudge he showed his respects and they are paid.. Look @ all the guys the came back for UNC this year.. You think their going to leave after getting beat by Kansas... I don't think so.. It was just my and anyone else that likes them know it was just their time.. after the Blow out against UNC, to the Close one by Davidson (which made them grow as a team) and then when I thought they were going to lose with little over 2 mins down 9 to Memphis... and then .. something happened and clicked.. and everyone just started playing like "we have been here before, down by a little , little time on clock, make smart decisions dont' turn ball over... get good looks.." and when "SUPER" Mario hit that shot.. ALL NET.. i knew KU had it in OT.. they just had it cause Momentum was going their way coming back from 9 points down and tying with just seconds on clock.. in a CHAMPIONSHIP GAME... 1 I know this is late and the thread's dead, but that was a great symbol. As a KU student, I have always loved and supported Roy, but that sentiment was not shared with many of my other classmates before he did this. Many KU students and alum will never forgive him for leaving KU, but he won over a lot of people by wearing the sticker. In the same night, we got the national title monkey off our back and I think a lot of people realized that the move by Roy was in the best interest of both programs. We now have Bill Self, who I feel has finally shown that he is the best coach in the nation (I felt it was Williams until we beat UNC and won the title) while UNC was saved from the disservice to their tradition that was the Doherty era by the arrival of a great coach. I only hope that sometime in the near future UNC and KU begin playing a home-and-home series. 2774946

Grow up and get a life. Mr. Williams didn't mean anything by what he did. I don't blame him for chearing a team he used to coach. I also don't think it diminishes what he is doing at North Carolina. When it comes to both schools I really don't like either. I think the programs are over rated. They are just old time programs who have benefited from TV way too much. I love my alma mater too, but I also appreciate cheering on old coaches who have moved on and done well. Stop thinking of everythin in a negative aspect, it'll help extend your life. 1540449

Hey Ted Keith, quit being a baby about the sticker man. It's just a sticker and I thought it showed the great sportsmanship so often missing from today's sports world. He's UNC's coach so get over it. He's classy and I don't think a little KU sticker placed on him at the game diminishes that at all. He's a genuine man and secure with his loyalties.....maybe you can take a lighthearted pointer from him. 1535479

Or if he was dead set on wearing it, he should've also worn some type of UNC hat or something that also represents the Tar Heels to show where his current allegiance lies. Keith also points out that Williams has urged Tar Heel fans to be more passionate, show up at games early, be back at the Smith Center when the team returns from a road game and of course, donate to the school's Booster Club. Therefore, he shouldn't ask fans to do all that and then be either surprised or offended when they act like fans and get angry at Williams' duel allegiance.What do you think?
