After 42 years and 902 wins, Bobby Knight has put his clipboard down forever. The 67-year-old announced his resignation from Texas Tech on Monday, leaving the Red Raiders in the hands of his son, Pat. Some will remember Knight as one of the top college hoops coaches of all time while others will remember the chair-throwing, choking and other controversies.

Where do you stand on Coach Knight? Is he one of the greatest minds to ever grace a basketball court or one of the biggest jerks to ever hold a clipboard? Or both?

he was only a jerk to the media, and they rightfully deserve it. His players knew what they were getting into choosing Indiana or Texas Tech so I don't have any sympathy for them. Good coaches don't tell you you're pretty to boost your ego, they beat you down and build you up into a team player like Knight. Great coach, even better interview.

Lets see.....the man told woman being raped to lay back and enjoy it....threw the chair....grabbed a player around the neck.....got pissed at a guy for saying what's up Knight.....etc....... America has voted and he is a jerk!

He was an amazing coach and the fact that he was outspoken shouldn't change that. He just said, in front of large audiences, what most of us have never had the chance, or the nerve to say. I totally agree that athletes went to play for him knowing what to expect the whole way, and in most cases they got what they were expecting.

Robert Montgomery Knight coached the INDIANA
HOOSIERS in 1976 to an undefeated season. Also in 1975 the team would have
gone undefeated if Scott May didn't break
his arm. That is in itself "amazing" !
