Despite the existence of 33 NCAA sports (and the approximately 380,000 athletes playing those sports), most casual sports fans only recognize those who play football and basketball. It’s too bad, because there are many outstanding athletes whose performances are flying under the radar. SIOC tried to rectify this problem with our annual list of the Best Athletes You’ve Never Heard Of – a collection of top performers who don’t get the recognition they deserve (for a full list and bios of each athlete, click here).
