The Redeem Team's gold-medal performance in Beijing has sparked debate about how it compares to the original Dream Team from 1992. Would Kobe's and LeBron's squad beat Michael, Magic and Co.? Jack McCallum says the Dream Team would overwhelm the Redeem Team with superior inside play and a heavy dose of Michael Jordan, while Chris Mannix contends the Redeem Team's young legs and international experience would prove decisive.

Who do you think would win this fictional Team USA matchup?

Definitely the dream team, they were better overall in shooting, defense, rebounding, passing and teamwork. Most of the players were triple threats (ie shoot, pass, and drive) and can confidently jack up shots at will as the big men can dominate the paint. They were pretty smart in terms of spacing and passing. A quick pass is better than running with the ball court to court.
Lebron was not even a factor in the redeem team, he needs to learn when to attack and spacing. I think the best players in the redeem team were Dwayne Wade and Carmelo Anthony, as they always knew what to do with the ball (shoot, drive or pass) in a very efficient manner. In terms of lebron, he usually hogs the ball.

John Stockton was obviously better than Deron and CP, expending little energy and giving out pin point passes. He was also a better shooter than both.
