After speaking Strikeforce head Scott Coker today, he confirmed that Josh Thomson has been scrapped from his lightweight title bout against Yves Edwards at Strikeforce: Destruction on Nov. 21 due to torn ligaments in his toe -- an injury he suffered during training but hoped would heal in time for the bout.
Coker said Duane Ludwig will likely step in to replace Thomson. Ludwig (17-8) defeated Sam Morgan by TKO at Strikeforce: Payback.
