Bisping blasts fellow T.U.F. coach Henderson

According to <a href="http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/ufc/article2191848.ece">The Sun</a>, Michael Bisping, who will serve as coach of Team UK, blasted opposing coach Dan Henderson after the American said he'd turn the other cheek to bad behavior on the show. Earlier, <a href="http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/ufc/article2151855.ece">Hendo told The Sun</a>: "The coaches are buffered from all that - we're not living in the house. I probably won't hear about a lot of things but some of them I will. But you have to understand these guys are cooped up with no TV, no magazines, no books - nothing but each other to pick on - and that's what makes for good TV. Whatever keeps them happy in the house and keeps them sane is fine by me - as long as they work hard in the gym, that's all that matters." Given last season's cast of trouble-makers - notably Junie Browning - Bisping's concerns seem justified. The majority of Browning's fame stemmed from his drunken tantrums and fights with housemates. Doesn't show well for a sport still trying to garner respect from those unknowledgeable about MMA. Bisping's response to Henderson: "I want my team to represent the sport of mixed martial arts well, represent themselves well and represent the UK well. I don't want any of the [crap] going on that went on last season - like trashing the house, getting wasted and all the rest of it. If guys are coming on there looking for TV time and all the rest of it, then don't bother turning up. I'm there to train serious fighters who want to fight and succeed in the UFC." 21 Bisping....he is getting by barely. Hamill won that fights hands down!! (Not to mention, Karo DID NOT win the last fight) Matt was robbed by someone with the bigger name. If I remember correctly, that fight was in Bispings hometown?? " I have never been mpressed with Bispings Performance" lol...only select few will get that reference. I got Dan coming out the victor in this one. 4389871

19 I think it's pretty obvious from Hendo's comments that he doesn't give a damn what these guys do at the house or in their off time, only what they do in the gym and in the cage. Fairly reasonable expectation, considering that he isn't getting paid to be their daddy or parole officer. If they get their butts kicked in the cage then it's their faults for not preparing themselves properly and taking advantage of the opportunity Dana White is giving them. All that being said, Hendo is going to destroy Bisping. The guy that said Hendo has faced a whole different class of fighter is dead-on. Hendo has forgotten more about MMA than Bisping will ever learn. 4379991

17 Last season was the most disgusting season I have ever seen. The fact that Coach Mir would not let his son watch it speaks volumes. It does not represent the sport of mixed martial arts but rather the stupidity of shock reality TV. Junie Browning was the highlight of the show despite providing the worst performances in the cage. The hypocrisy of Dana white kicking Jesse off the finale the season before for breaking a limo window while allowing Browning to endanger the other fighters with his drunken tirades is obvious. If Jesse was more arrogant, rude and annoying he most definately would have been allowed to continue, instead of being replaced by his limo partner and equally guilty CB Dollaway. It is good that in addition to Mir, another coach is making a stand against this type of disgusting behavior and showing the sport is supposed to be about class. 4346728

16 Just to different styles of authority. Hendo sounds more laid back and Bizbing is more serious about the whole thing. Not that either style is bad, They both work as long as it's a team effort and focused on winning. But what do you expect when you have a bunch of guys living in Las Vegas and a full Bar? I think it's good because it's a test of Dicipline and that's when we see who the real fighters in the group are. Then they can ask" Can you drink piss and beat my ass the next day?" 14 I like Hendo as a fighter but the past few fights haven't been like the pride fights where he use to finish. Besides the loss to Silva, they have all gone the distance. With Bisping he is improving. Still going for Hendo. 4337536
