What to watch tonight

• 8:00 p.m., FOX: The Phillies send Cole Hamels to the mound to try and clinch their first pennant since 1993 -- and just the sixth postseason series victory in the franchise's 126-year history. The Dodgers counter with Chad Billingsley.

• 8:00 p.m., ESPN/Galavisión: The U.S. national soccer team, already safely through to the next stage of World Cup qualifying, travels to Trinidad and Tobago as they continue the long haul to South Africa 2010. (Check out Grant Wahl's five thoughts on the match.)

• 9:00 p.m., ESPN2: A replay of this morning's NBA preseason clash between the Warriors and Bucks from Guangzhou, China.

• 9:00 p.m., NBC/ABC/CBS/C-SPAN: The third and final presidential debate between Senators John McCain and Barack Obama.

• 9:00 p.m., Showtime: Anybody getting used to Inside the NFL in its new home yet? Me neither.

• 11:30 p.m., CBS: Broadcasting legend Marv Albert swings by the Late Show with David Letterman.

Here's hoping that Hamels is at his best tonight, because the Dodgers have some hitting talent, and Billingsley is a good young pitcher despite his misfortune in Game 2. It would do my heart good to see Manny Ramirez FAIL in a clutch situation tonight. His behavior as a member of the Boston Red Sox was a disgrace to the integrity of the game of Baseball!

Inside the NFL. It's better than ever with Phil Simms dominating Chris Collingsworth. No wonder Bill Parcels ahd respect with Phil. The man doesn't take any crap.
