Terrence Williams has the Cardinals in Big East chase.

With conference tournaments right around the corner, teams are maneuvering for the best seed possible. The Big East is muddled in the middle, but as SI.com's Luke Winn points out in today's power rankings, the Louisville Cardinals are readying to make a run at UConn and Pitt atop the standings:

As long as the Cards keep winning -- and now that their offense is finally peaking, they have a shot at winning the Big East regular-season title -- they'll be in prime position to receive a geographical advantage from the NCAA tournament Selection Committee. Of the teams in the running for top-four seeds in the dance, only Louisville, Purdue and Xavier have the chance to play within 150 miles of campus on both the first and second weekends -- if they're slotted for Dayton and Indianapolis.

What other teams do you believe will challenge for their conference title? How important is it to get the highest seed possible in a conference tourney? Will this year's be the best Big East championship week ever?
