<body>Boy, if you wanna bring out the fight in people, just start talking about boxing!! The whole thing with lists like these is that they are SO subjective. I assume SI had some criteria when they put together these ratings. But I gotta tell 'ya, when we rank Rocky Marciano, who was never defeated, # 9 on the heavyweight list, that's where I stop reading. Except to say that Ray Robinson was the best middleweight who ever lived, and is most probably the best pound for pound fighter whoever lived; ask anybody who ever fought him! I didn't look at the Greatest Fights list yet, but if Ali Frazier isn't # 1, then I quit!!</body>

<body>On your pound for pound Greatest fighters of all-time.....I do not agree with your last entry.....Ricardo &amp;quot;Finito&amp;quot; Lopez.....even though I see it as an honor being from Mexican Descent, I do not see him as being accomplished enough to be on this list.....I think he was one of the Greatest Flyweights of all-time....but, I don't think he belongs on this list of the 10 Greatest Fighters of all-time.....matter of fact, From 1989 to the Present.....that is when I started watching boxing......the only fighters I would say have a Claim to be on that list based on their overall careers and accomplishments are:

Pernell Whitaker, Manny Pacquiao, Julio Cesar Chavez, and Floyd Mayweather......I exclude Roy Jones Jr because of his lack of competition compared to the competition these other 4 boxers had. And I'm not saying these guys should be on that list.....but, pound for pound, they were more accomplished than Ricardo Lopez......

I know Ricardo lopez retired undefeated and all....but he stayed mainly in one weight class, and towards the end of his career went up in weight but didn't have the competition the aforementioned fighters had......I do not think LOPEZ &amp;quot;challenged&amp;quot; himself enough. Hell, manny Pacquiao also began as a Flyweight......do you think Ricardo Lopez had a chance of beating Pacquiao?????? Come on now.</body>

<body>A great fighter no doubt, but really at the second and third olympics he's a pro fighting amateurs. Ali begged him to turn pro, he didn't. Since he never beat a pro how can he be considered one of the best &amp;quot;professional&amp;quot; fighters. No one doubts his ability, but it was never really proven in a pro ring.</body>

        <body>WHAT CONSTITUTES GREATNESS????

I think the long and respected career of a prize fighter who DOMINATES and beats the best fighters of his ERA is what distinguishes him and makes him a LEGEND. Not only that, but a fighter who fights and beats the ODDS over and over again. A boxer who fights through adversity in the ring, and finds the WILL to win. Having said this, the first fighter who comes to mind in my eyes is the GREATEST.....SUGAR RAY ROBINSON..... a fighter whom fought past his prime and against all ODDS and still found a way to win. His victories over Randy Turpin, Gene Fullmer, Carmen Basilio, and Jake Lomatta(to name a few) are what sets him apart from the rest and creates the STANDARD of IMMORTALITY.

MANNY PACQUIAO, JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ, FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR and WILLIE PEP should be on this list.

Manny Pacquiao will be much more appreciated when he is gone and leaves the sport. Going from 106 to 147 and beating everyone in his path is a feat that deserves PRAISE.</body>

<body>I don't think you have knowledge in boxing!!! why is manny pacquiao were not included in the best pound for pound? can you check the record of those who were in your list? they are fighting even the weakest fighter. they have not fought the best fighters in their generation. they are just fighting boxers which are inexperienced. I think manny pacquiao should be at the top of the list. he fought the best in every division. he is the greatest fighter of all time!!!</body>
