And I'm not saying these guys should be on that list.....but, pound for pound, they were more accomplished than Ricardo Lopez...... I know Ricardo lopez retired undefeated and all....but he stayed mainly in one weight class, and towards the end of his career went up in weight but didn't have the competition the aforementioned fighters had......I do not think LOPEZ &quot;challenged&quot; himself enough. I think the long and respected career of a prize fighter who DOMINATES and beats the best fighters of his ERA is what distinguishes him and makes him a LEGEND. Not only that, but a fighter who fights and beats the ODDS over and over again. A boxer who fights through adversity in the ring, and finds the WILL to win. Having said this, the first fighter who comes to mind in my eyes is the GREATEST.....SUGAR RAY ROBINSON..... a fighter whom fought past his prime and against all ODDS and still found a way to win. His victories over Randy Turpin, Gene Fullmer, Carmen Basilio, and Jake Lomatta(to name a few) are what sets him apart from the rest and creates the STANDARD of IMMORTALITY. MANNY PACQUIAO, JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ, FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR and WILLIE PEP should be on this list. Manny Pacquiao will be much more appreciated when he is gone and leaves the sport.
