<body>Hey Jonah, it's been about two months now, can you please use the new Inter Milan shield?

http://www.inter.it/

I know it might be a minor point to make but I doubt it took this long for SI.com to use the updated Arsenal shield. And yes, Fox Soccer Channel will be getting a similar note alarming them of this transgression. (lidiarte, let's pay attention!)

Other than that, keep up the great work on the Rankings.</body>

<body>I'm glad to see Sao Paulo FC getting some cred. They are currently 19-4-6 with a GD of 34. They've only given up a handful of goals. Sure, the Brazilian league isn't La Liga...but they're playing some amazing football.

<body>First timer, being a huge soccer fan and past player i like your column because it gives me, Italian, the possiblity to look at International soccer from a dfferent perspective. I am an Inter fan, so i will not discuss their position in this list for lack of impartiality. Instead of trying to identify the strongest soccer teams i would like to list theones that play the best soccer, the most fun to watch. In this list my prefered team woud be Arsenal. They are definitely playing the best soccer today and they are winning. They may have not played a strong team yet, but the ball flows through their feet like a beauty. However, i do not believe they are the best team now.
Second place i would have Barca. They couple a fantastic team playing with remarkable personnel talent. A comment about them, everybody talks about how good Messi is, and i agree. But guys, look at how talented a player Iniesta is, the guy can dribble anybody.
Third place, still based on the likability of their team playig is Roma. They play the best soccer in Italy, and that is not easy. As you know Italy is the most difficult league to play good soccer and Roma is really excelling there, even though Inter is still a better team thanks to the talent they have.
I agree with that fan about Fenherbace. They really outplayed Inter in brazilian fashion, great ball control, excellent skills. Inter was not yet the machine that seems ot be now, but they played great.

<body>I don't think that any other team is really playing better unselfish flowing soccer with goals being scored at will without the great Thierry Henry. (Who's scoring for Barca?) They are first in the Priemership, first place of their group in Europe, and first in the Power Rankings and I do not see any change for another 2 weeks, 4 weeks, .....

But Milan, champions as they are, are playing like &amp;quot;Kaka&amp;quot;. I think an old friend should reclaim a position, Juventus. Second through six games, Trezeguet finding the net 7 times in the last six league matches. I think Ranieri is making good things happen and has found his home again in Italy. I think this team is very talented and will prove to establish themselves as on of the giants in europe. Go Juventus.</body>

        <body>Recent Form:
United - (W-W-W-W-W (EPL)) - (W-W (against Roma) (CL)) (7-0-0) (7-0-1 if Carling Cup results are factored in)
Roma - (L-D-D-W-W (Serie A)) - (W-L (to United mind you) (CL)) (3-2-2)
AC Milan - (D-L-D-D-D (Serie A)) - (W-L (CL)) (1-2-4)

Not sure how that supports either Roma or Milan being ranked ahead of United. I'm also wondering how United losing to Coventry City is a persuasive justification when not one first-team starter played (outside of Nani and his spot in the starting XI hasn't exactly been cemented yet).

I'm not even saying United deserve to be rated in the Top 10 but they certainly should be ahead of Roma (definitely) and AC Milan (arguably). Also, Harty Har Har on the two-and-a-half year old Glazer jokes. Certainly explains why Milan???s performances last year are accorded such favor.

United???s inability to replicate its goal-scoring prowess of last year is a legitimate point but it???s hampered by the fact that their top two strikers, Rooney and Saha, have not been fit for the better-part of the season so far. That's just my two cents.</body>

<body>seriously jonah or whatever your name is, you are crazy and out of your mind!! why wont you include the turkish powerhouse fenerbahce. personally i am a born fan of besiktas who are their arch rivals. but think of it this way: fenerbahce went and absolutely put a BEATING on INTER MILAN of all teams, the champs of italy. they couldve won that game 3-0 easily. then they went to play cska moskva (a very tough place to get points) and they fought to a 2-2 draw. this team is loaded with firepower: roberto carlos, mateja kezman, brazilian superstar alex (who can play even in the premiership), stephen appiah (the captain of the ghana team who beat the sorry **** american side in the world cup). please do us all a favor. we dont care about sao paolo anymore. we dont care about liverpool considering they just lost to marseille at home, a dismal team this season.

get it right.

give props to the turkish sides</body>

<body>Jonah, I think you need to pay closer attention. Dempsey's stray elbow caught Terry in the face on an aerial challenge... there was no boot involved.
To the previous poster Celtic is unlikely to reach #1, the opposition in the SPL is not strong enough. They recorded a solid win in fortunate fashion over an off beat AC Milan team- that has played poorly thus far in all campaigns.
However, Celtic were destroyed away from home by Shakhtar Donetsk. Although Shakthar is a quality side, Celtic don't even have the best results from their own league in the CL. Rangers wins over the German champions at home, and the French Champions away AT Lyon, are superior results.
Accusing Beasley as some sort of traitor seems a bit misguided, and bigoted, especially as you appear to offer little knowledge of the true nature of the problems at Ibrox and Parkhead. If you had been paying attention you would have seen his stellar, man of the match performance against Lyon. If Rangers retake the SPL, he will have played a crucial role.

Jonah as for your rankings, its very hard to place teams at this point, but I agree that Rangers and Shakhtar should be first off the bench from the honorable mentions. Chelsea may indeed make a return to the bottom of rankings should they recover their form over the next month or two. Bayern Munich have played repeated blinders in Bundesliga, but they have not impressed in UEFA cup play at all. Perhaps 4 is a bit high for their side.

Finally, Michael Bradley was unable to prevent Heerenveen from losing 5-0 to Helsingborg and blowing a 5-3 lead coming into the second leg of the tie. He was subbed after 57 mins from a side that had given up 4 goals. While he his strike rate from a midfield position is excellent, his defense still needs to improve (and it should with time) as he as given up multiple penalties this season, including the first leg of the UEFA cup. If he continues to score however, a transfer to a bigger club in January might come, but I would prefer he stayed at Heerenveen.</body>
