In a forum on fox soccer, I read lately from one of the bloggers that "the South American teams dominate not because they are better, but because the Euro teams send their B or C team to the tourney".

My reaction on the subject:

Then come with the full squad!!! What are you guys waiting for??? In the mean time (after 48 years) you must have learn your lesson. Or drawn conclusions.

In 2000 Boca beat Madrid with the full squad. For the record here was the Real line up then:

Real Madrid: Casillas; Hierro, Roberto Carlos, Karanka; McManaman, (66' Savio), Luis Figo, Makelele (76' Morientes), Helguera, Guti, Geremi; Ra??l. Coach: Del Bosque.

In 2003 Boca beat Milan with the full squad. Here the line up for AC Milan then:

Milan: Dida, Pancaro, Costacurta, Maldini, Cafu, Seedorf, Pirlo, Gattuso (90???+12??? Ambrosini), Kak?? (78??? Rui Costa), Tomasson (60??? Inzaghi), Shevchenko. Coach: Carlo Ancelotti

LOL guys. I can't stop having FUN with you guys. Hilarious, childish...go to mommy weeping!

I'm waiting for the next excuse. I see it already coming!:
They have no interest in the cup...hahahaha.lol!!!

Spare me the jokes guys. The pay off for this cup, even for the 5th place finalist, is more than a China tourney".

In 2005 Soa Paolo beat Liverpool with the full squad!. The Liverpool line-up then:

Liverpool: Jose Reina; Carragher, Finnan, Hypia, Alonso, Gerrard, Kewell, Garcia, Sissoko (sinama-Pongolle), Warnock (Rijse '79), Morientes (Crouch '85). (Cisse was on the list, but injured).

In 2006 Internacional beat Barcelona with the full squad. Here the line up then:

Barcelona: 1-Victor Valdes; 11-Gianluca Zambrotta (2-Belletti 46), 4-Rafael Marquez, 5-Carlos Puyol ??, 12-Giovanni van Bronckhorst; 3-Thiago Motta (6-Xavi Hernandez 59), 20-Deco Souza, 24-Andres niesta; 7-Eidur Gudjohnsen (18-Santiago Ezquerro 87), 8-Ludovic Giuly, 10-Ronaldinho. (Eto'o didn't even come. He was injured for months. Saviola was on the list, but injured).

Come on!!! For sure, every European club that played in the last 48 years, played with the bench! Yeah right man! LOL. The ignorance doesn't end. hahaha....

Go tell the MAN U guys of 1968. (Stepney, Dunne, Foulkes, Nobby Styles, Sadler, Burns, Brennan, Crerand, Bobby Charlton, Morgan, Kidd, Law, Sartory, George Best).

Why is it, that Europe gets the weaker opponents this year? The winner between Oceania (OFC)/Japan and Asia (AFC). LOL!!!!!

While South America gets the winner between CONCACAF and CAF.

Desperate to see if they (europeans) are gonna complain this year again. lol!

Europeans get scared as soon as they hear something about the WCC.

The same excuses are used time and time again to cover their inability to make their point.

"Supposedly" they are the best around. But they can't make it real. LOL!!!!

After 46 years they can't still make their case. At a certain point one begins to wonder if the failure lies at the excusus or is it their inability to do the contrary.

Any case i'm tired of the same old lausy BEEP!

Europeans beat everybody around 4-0, except the South Americans. LOL!!!!

With the "best" south american players on their lists, still they can't beat the south american clubs wich "supposedly" are inferior because of the lack of their stars (which are playing in Europe).

This shows how rich the South is in quality players.

I really disagree with that list. Scrap the 2 Latin American teams for starters. I think this year Barcelona is the team to beat. They have a FIERCE attacking force and a good defense. My top ten is:

Barcelona
Chelsea (with healty squad)
AC Milan
Manchester United (with Rooney)
Real Madrid
Juventus
Liverpool
Sevilla
Bayern Munich
l'Olympique Lyonnais

I won't hate on the Boca ranking, but the Pachuca ranking is preposterous.

I'm wondering why AS Roma fell off of the top 10? I can only imagine it is because they didn't spend a bazillion dollars in the offseason on the Fernando Torreses and Wesly Snjeiders of the world. Instead they made smart and measured acquistions at premium costs, without overpaying for names, such as adding Ludovic Guily, Mauro Esposito and Juan... players who will fit nicely into their already effective (and entertaining) playing style. But I guess that means precious little...at this stage, your rankings should be "10 Most Popular and Richest Clubs in the World - (With a Bone Being Thrown to the Mexican League)".

I'm ready to take anyone in debate about this matter to end the deceive most people perceive as reality.

Europe doesn't have any supremacy on world football stage when it comes to South America. This was shown time after time again. Not on club level, not on national level, U-20, U-17, confederations level, beach, indoor or whatever. Only in female football till now.

Media coverage, hype, money, biased opinion, bla bla... must not be criterion used to judge performance. Only outcome! Does anyone recall a team once named ???Galacticos'. I don't.

After nearly two months off for international duty (and Barry Bonds watch), the World Soccer Power Rankings are back.

It's hard to sort out the risers and fallers when the only results we really have to go on are preseason tournaments and exhibition games -- that's why Milan and Boca are still on top. But two Euro powers have resurfaced with some shrewd offseason moves. Here's the first rundown of the 2007-08 season:

1. AC Milan

2. Boca Juniors

3. Manchester United

4. Real Madrid

5. Chelsea

6. FC Barcelona

7. Inter Milan

8. Sevilla

9. Pachuca

10. Liverpool

Who are we missing here? Who deserves a spot and who deserves the heave-ho? Your move.
