Jim Leavitt wants his old job back.::AP

Jim Leavitt held a press conference in his attorney's office Monday to announce he wants his job back. The former South Florida coach adamantly denied the allegation - that he slapped walk-on Joel Miller during halftime of the Louisville game on Nov. 21 - that got him fired last week.

"I just want the truth to be out there," Leavitt said. "Extremely important to me. It really is. I just want to share the truth."

If you aren't doing anything around 10 p.m. eastern Wednesday night, flip on Versus. You'll get to see me make a fool of myself on national television.

Could another former Georgia defensive back become the coach-in-waiting at another name-brand program?

Saban's mulligan applies for 18 holes. ::Bob Rosato/SI

All week, reporters have grilled Alabama players and assistant coaches looking for any glimpse into the personality of Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban. The general consensus? He smiles more than you would expect him to. He has a dry sense of humor, so his jokes tend to sneak up on you. And then there's this, from defensive coordinator Kirby Smart. Saban apparently is quite the creative interpreter of the unwritten rules of golf.
