LAS VEGAS -- Free agent shortstop Orlando Cabrera will decline the White Sox's salary arbitration offer at the midnight deadline, SI.com has learned.
As a result, Chicago will receive two high picks in the 2009 draft.
Considering Edgar Renetria just signed a two-year, $18.5 million contract from the Giants, Cabrera should be able to get comparable deal.
