The short answer is no! He only has 87 wins to his name and he has pitched in the majors for 10 years.
For an average of 8.7 wins a year, I would not give a guy close to $17 million a year. Additionally, because of the fact that Burnett gets injured on a regular bases, he only averages just over 21 starts a year. That means, on average, he will be making more than $500,000 a start!
Furthermore, is the guy going to be healthier when he is 36 than when he was 29? Of course not!

Look at it this way-Whatever he brings to the Yankmes will be more than they had. A dominant Strike out pitcher is nothing to sneeze at. Another thing to think about is he was healthy this past year chances are just as good that he'll stay injury free as he would injury prone.
