He is not a prime pitcher out here like Yu Darvish, Hisashi Iwakuma or even Koji Uehara. Those pitchers make at the most $3-4 million per year so whatever he is offered by a Major League club will definitely be more than he'll make here in Japan as an old veteran. I'd give him $2 million max per season.

I can't imagine that he will go for more than $20 million considering his age and the current economic situation in baseball.

Japanese left-hander Koji Mitsui will be posted beginning Thursday, Major League Baseball informed all teams this afternoon. All teams have a chance to bid on the 35-year-old pitcher through the posting system for three business days (the deadline for bids is 5 p.m. next Tuesday). Mitsui is 36-19 with a 4.41 ERA lifetime.

Mitsui's old Seibu Lions teammate, Daisuke Matsuzaka, was awarded to the Boston Red Sox two winters ago through the same system for a record $51 million posting fee.
