Edwin Encarnacion signed a $7.6 million, two-year contract with the Reds. He is to make $2 million in 2009, $4.75 million in 2010 and an $850,000 bonus.
The 26-year-old third baseman hit .251 with a career-high 26 home runs and 68 RBIs in 2008.
