Right fielder Corey Hart agreed to a one-year, $3.25 million deal with the Brewers, avoiding arbitration. Hart's contract will become guaranteed should any other Brewers' abitration-elgible player receive a guarantee provision.
Hart hit .268 with 20 home runs and 91 RBIs as an All-Star last year with the Brewers, who returned to the playoffs for the first time since 1982.
Hart asked for $3.8 million and the Brewers offered $2.7 million. Hart is the sixth Brewer to avoid arbitration this offseason.
