You heard it from SI.com's Luke Winn: Notre Dame's star center, Luke Harangody, who has been recovering from pneumonia since after the Maui Invitational, will return to the court against Ohio State this afternoon.
But is he really needed?
The All-American sat out for his team's last two games, but the Fighting Irish posted dominant victories in both -- 93-61 against Furman last Sunday and 102-76 against South Dakota on Tuesday.
Luke Zeller replaced Harangody inside while Kyle "I-can-drain-threes-from-anywhere" McAlarney handled his business (a grand total of 16 treys in both games). Oh, and Ryan Ayers posted a school-record nine threes for a career-high 35 points Tuesday. No big deal.
So, to be clear, the unranked Buckeyes have to deal with all that PLUS Harangody today. OSU may have the second-best scoring defense in the nation, but their chances against Notre Dame are slim, at best.
Put me down for Notre Dame 93, Ohio State 57.
