The Style Archive -- the definitive museum of college hoops style -- is back for its third season. We already have 107 exhibits on display from the past <a href="http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/si_blogs/basketball/ncaa/2006/12/style-archive.html">two</a> <a href="http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/si_blogs/basketball/ncaa/2006/11/style-archive-2007-08-edition.html">seasons</a>, and will be unveiling new batches on a regular basis here <a href="/si_blogs/in_the_paint">In The Paint</a>. The first five exhibits <a href="/si_blogs/in_the_paint/posts/28302-style-archive-08-09-volume-1">from '08-09 are here</a>. Special K Kentucky Wildcats Classification: Memorial Spotted: All season long Notes: Two signatures of the 'Cats new duds honor late equipment manager Bill Keightley, who worked in the program for 48 years before passing away this year. Mr. Wildcat Kentucky Wildcats Classification: Memorial Spotted: All season long Notes: Keightley is further memorialized by this right-shoulder stripe, which features his nickname. Black Cats Kentucky Wildcats Classification: Memorial Spotted: Dec. 7 vs. Mississippi Valley State Notes: UK used Sunday's win over MVSU to make its biggest tribute of all to Keightley, wearing all-black jerseys and shorts. This was a one-time deal, and UK is <a href="http://www.ukathletics.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/120808aaa.html" target="_blank">selling the jerseys</a> to raise money for a managers' scholarship fund. </td> </tr> <tr> <td><img style="border: 0pt none; margin: 5px 0px; float: left;" src="http://img.fannation.com/upload/si_blog_post_images/10patterson.jpg" alt="10patterson" width="200" height="150" /></td> <td style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 140%;">9. Briefro <a href="http://www.ukathletics.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/patterson_patrick00.html" target="_blank">Patrick Patterson</a>, 6-9 forward, Soph., Kentucky Classification: Aborted afro experiment Spotted: Nov. 18 vs. UNC / Dec. 3 vs. Lamar Notes: Patterson began his sophomore season sporting a throwback 'fro -- a nice look for him, we must say -- but ditched it following the 'Cats' losses to VMI and UNC. Smurfette Kicks <a href="http://www.ukathletics.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/harris_ramon00.html">Ramon Harris</a>, 6-7 forward, Jr., Kentucky Classification: Blue overload Spotted: Nov. 18 vs. UNC Notes: Harris (who is presently being <a href="http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20081205/SPORTS03/81205042/1002/SPORTS" target="_blank">held out of practice</a> due to a scary collision in the Lamar game) made a big blue fashion statement with this  footwear-and-hosiery combo, usually seen only on the <a href="http://www.takepart.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/smurfette.jpg" target="_blank">female species of Smurf</a>.</td> </tr> <tr> <td><img style="border: 0pt none; margin: 5px 0px; float: left;" src="http://img.fannation.com/upload/si_blog_post_images/19ukbelt.jpg" alt="19ukbelt" width="200" height="150" /></td> <td style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 140%;">11. Championship Checkerboard Kentucky Wildcats Classification: Bragging via waistband Spotted: All season long Notes: In case you weren't aware UK had won seven national titles, their waistbands have checkers with the years emblazoned on them.
